Amen to BlueFalcon advice. First Mtn Bike needs to get you to a point you then know what you really want and have progressed to…then you’ll have difficulty not dropping 10 Large on one.

Haven’t seen this thread yet! Here is my CF Canyon Strive. Haven’t ridden in a couple months as I got the snowboards out instead. Impatiently waiting for spring time.

I've been wanting a Levo and am thinking of going with this color, "Ice Blue." I really like it, but the wife thinks it's a bit girly. Thoughts?

I dig it. All my bikes are black so……

Have you looked at the Orbea Rise? The new Rise H15 at 1.6lbs heavier and 6299, comes with a 36. Has a better motor and battery. The Spesh has been having issues with their motors. But that being said they’re nice and my riding friends live theirs. Anyway the Orbea It’s beating the specialized in most reviews.

I should add. They are both nice bikes for sure and I’ll be getting one next year. I do like the travel of the Spesh…..

Thanks for the input! I should also note that it'll be either in a L or XL. If I were riding a smaller bike, then maybe...

With the exception of the sage-green Giant Stance e+ 1 (my first ebike the Levo will be replacing), I've also always had black bikes, and I even have an all black Stumpy. I thought about getting a black Levo, but they look too much like my Stumpy. And I have no plans to get rid of the Stumpy, I love that bike! I don't need 2 almost identical looking bikes.

I did look at the Orbea Rise maybe a few weeks ago, and honestly I forgot about them. The H15 looks sweet in the black color. Price for the H15 is actually $6799, but even then that bike specs out nicely. I don't think I saw the H15 when I was looking. But it looks like they aren't available yet and I've been wanting a Levo for a while now and got tired of waiting for one after covid hit. Availability has increased and I'd rather not wait any longer.

Are the motor issues you mentioned related to the 2.2 motor? I thought I read it was the 2.1 motor that has issues. The one I'm looking at above is a '22 model with the 2.2 motor that's supposed to address the 2.1 issues.

Yeah the travel is really nice! Even with the base model, which is the one above I'm looking at. I thought about going with the comp alloy, but I didn't care for any of the colors, and being that the base model has the same frameset and I would upgrade parts anyway, I'd rather start with the color I want which happens to be the base and upgrade from there.

But who knows, I might even end up liking the way it rides to begin with being that I don't ride hard now that I'm older. I've always felt that Specialized has among the most solid builds/rides on their base model so it's easy to build from there.

Anyway, I'd be interested to see which model you go with, even if still a year away. Thanks for the info!

Yeah you know it probably was the 2.1 . I don’t know anyone that has the 2.2 yet. So that’s a good point. I know all the Orbea are already sold to Mikes Bikes. So you can get them there. If you have access to the Levo jump on it. They’re all gonna be hard to come by this year. Yeah it a funny , when I get an e-bike it WONT be black !
I usually don’t go high end on the purchase and upgrade it as parts where out. It’s funny but my ripmo is just the performance spec for suspension and it’s so easy to setup I never upgraded it to the Fox Factory. Although my wife is running DVO and it’s pretty nice but waaaay too many settings for me .

Well, you're gonna know someone with the 2.2 soon, at least online anyway. Yeah, I jumped on it earlier. But then I started doubting my decision and tried to reach support to have them hold the order for when a black one became available lol. But it was already too late as I didn't know it had already shipped. That got me stoked for the Ice Blue. Probably better off like you said because of availability as I've been watching black for a while now and they're never in stock. And apparently the one I ordered must have been the last in the S4 size because it's now out of stock. If I was able to have them hold the order, then who knows when I'd be able to get a Levo if someone else ended up getting the Ice Blue. The other models I was looking at are now out of stock as well.

Wow, DVO on the wife's bike. I just think it's cool that she rides lol. My wife has a Liv Tempt e+ 2, but nothing complicated on that one. Hard tail with a throwaway Suntour XCM coil fork. I may opt for the trade-in upgrade Suntour offers the first year and get her an air fork. I still have a few more months. Although she doesn't do any serious riding so it serves her needs, but I gotta say the Yamaha motor is the highlight. I've always been impressed by Yamaha products, and the motor stands out. It's the one thing I'll miss about my Giant Stance e+ 1.

Edit: Forgot to mention I checked out the Orbea on Mikes Bikes. Looks like they're taking special orders for the H15, but says they're awaiting an ETA on ship dates for the next allocation. Admittedly the gray/blue and even the orange are actually growing on me. But I'm just stoked to have a Levo on the way.

Sweet! You’re gonna be stoked! I do like the ice blue .
In fact the Orbea color I want is that grey light blue also. I’m hoping by the time I have the cash for any electric bike , they’ll be back in stock or release the new model. My
Bike fund is gonna be drained in a couple weeks because I ordered a gravel bike a few months ago that’s coming in.
Shoot some pics when it arrives! What’s the ETA?

Ha, say no more about depleted bike funds. I'm head-deep in that same water right now with bike purchases the last 9 months. I'll definitely post once I have it. Estimated pick-up says tomorrow. I don't want to get my hopes up too much, but Specialized is about 400 miles north of me, and the local dealer I had it shipped to is open Sundays so we'll see how it goes. Sadly no tracking info in the email.

The color's really grown on me. I honestly can care less about it now. If I were riding a small or medium it might still concern me lol.

    It’s actually grown on me.
I like the ice looking color . I did like all the newer colors on stuff, but have grown tired of anodized purple bits.
