Tool bag is a good solution.

Greer is sick. Hopefully it stays.

The one good thing about riding in the Texas heat: the trails are empty.

    Front derailleur.

It's got a road shifter but the pull ratio won't sync with the triple mtb front derailleur/crankset.

    Good eye!

Got some maintenance done on the bike. Was debating buying a new one but the prices are insane. Ended up installing Fox Float Factory 36 fork and DPX2 shock. With the new fork I added 10mm of travel to the front and added a little height to the steerer tube. Also installed a new dropper to replace to consistently leaking Reverb that was on it.

Shhh, don't tell my wife, but got this Transition Spire a month ago. This thing is crazy. Plus, the purple goes well with the Inferno Red.

    I’m jealous. My
Kids used to ride with me when they were younger. They both hate it now. But they did both suddenly like skiing. So I have that.

Yeah road riding scares me a lot, and I don’t road ride anymore. Multiple friends have been hit. That being said, I’ve had multiple friends with some pretty severe MTB injuries as well. I’ve slowed down quite a bit over the last few years. Some injuries, some age, some of it just being leery about speed and air time :) I don’t really guck anymore and lost a lot of my skill / courage. Still love it though. The newer MTBs are way more upright and a lot less painful to ride. (Jacked up shoulder and elbow as well)

Need to get a bike with some front stack height and riser bars to take some pressure off the upper body and arms. I put 40mm risers on everything but the XC bike.

First single track ride for my new fat tire bike. Took all of the wet rocks & roots and handled them great. Also pulls my 1 year old around town!
