    Of course you belong.
Just ignore people nerding out about bike stuff, its kind of an elitest sport.
There are scores of people out there riding junk that have more heart and talent then then those riding $10k bikes. Having the lightest and fanciest bike is not a requirement in this sport what so ever.

Yup. I remember going to an event ride on my already expensive road bike and figuring the 500 people riding $10k must be sponsored racers or some crap so I parked in the back half at the start of the ride. Spent the first 5k of the ride trying to pass them to get to the front group (and I'm old and slower than I was...) Turns out they were just rich. I ended up with a couple of friends riding in no-man's land in between the fast group we were never able to catch up to and the slow rich people.

but ya, you get the bike you can. and then yap about the minutiae between sram, shimano and campy. For the record, sram is crap.

If you can pedal and balance, you're advanced enough!

What solution did you go for on the bike mount for your truck?

    More than a few.....
Anyone have a good, affordable hitch mount rack for heavy loads? My fat tire ebike weighs 90 pounds without the battery and I'd eventually wanna put my wife's bike on there too. I would prefer not to have to take a second on the house for a bike rack...

Figuring winter still had a strong hold up there. Nothing against canada. It's just very much spring riding season here already and im glad i can go out in my summer riding gear. Come June you can say... "sorry you're in the southeast US" bc it'll be miserably hot here by then.

Hightower. Perfect balance IMO for my zones. Can still be playful and fun, and kinda plow the chunder. I’ve always been a 29 guy, but recognize there’s a reason there are multiple wheel sizes.
Apparently it’s the Carbon R build I never really knew the letter for the build. I call it the cheapest carbon Hightower haha

See Canadian trying to find a spot without snow, when I’m the opposite all winter wishing I could find snow. All I meant really!

Got my new Rocky Mtn Instinct built up. Just swapped over most the parts from my sb130. Stoked! This thing is pretty dang light for what’s on it.

It’s the copper chain actually! Haven’t weighed it yet, but it’s lighter than my sb130 was which was about 31 pounds so I’m guessing 29.5-30 pounds

    Oh I’m sorry “copper” LOL
On bike weights it’s funny because my R build SC is somehow lighter than my neighbors S build. He has carbon wheels on I-9 hubs I have Spank oozy on I-9 so he should be lighter there too? We have same bottle cage. Hard to remember at this point if we included pedals in the weight because I’d be lighter there too(mallet vs XT). Maybe the sand color is lighter than the blue? His paint does look thick. Not sure. But it’s funny. Mine was 31lbs 9oz iirc. Which is an excellent weight for that size bike and type of bike. Weighed with a zeroed out park tool hanging stand. Bike shop guys were impressed as they don’t sell
