My bike got stolen in Banff. Can I find a replacement for any reasonable price? Not unless you want a small or xxl frame.

if you see some douche riding this bike in the Banff area, kick that guys ass!

Can you claim it under your home owners or renters insurance?

It’s mostly covered by homeowners (minus deductible) but I literally cannot find a replacement even adding $1000 to what I’d like to spend - which was already more than the old bike.

that and the bike got taken the second night in the mountains after hauling it just about 4000kms so couldn’t ride for the trip.

I'm 5'11-6' ish which usually equates to a L. I was looking at... less cash. I'm not winning any races nowdays. I was looking at no more than 4500 cdn taxes in (which today is around two dollars and thirty cents USD. lol) Not looking at going full carbon on a mountain bike either. I still don't trust that I won't wipe and smash the frame and it just ads too much cash.

    Thanks though.

Damn dude, so so sorry to hear this. Such a bummer.

    Vincent:
Tell me about it. I had it in storage for three years, it was out for five days and some dickless piece of shit f***ed with it.

    Lance:
They should be f***ing killed. No trial, no jury, straight to execution.

    Vincent:
Boy, I wish I could've caught him doing it. I'd have given anything to catch that asshole doing it. It'd been worth him doing it just so I could've caught him doing it.

    Lance:
    What a f***er!

    Vincent:
    What's more chickenshit than f***ing with a man's bike? I mean, don't f*** with another man's vehicle.

    Lance:
    You don't do it.

    Vincent:
    It's just against the rules.

I modified the Pulp fiction banter for ya....

Take a look at Banshee bikes. Canadian brand and all aluminum. The whole lineup is great. Between myself and my friends, we have every bike in their lineup. Not too $$$ either.

Just be careful with pinkbike. Most people are legit, but vet them out first.

the bike and the beast don't usually travel together. typically just out the door to ride. there are a few scenic loops in the area i need to try so i'll have to update with a shot when that happens.
