I used to live in Seattle and Kona's are super popular there, know tons of folks who love them. It's really hard to find a bad bike these days. I also agree with the 29 for a hardtail.

7500 feet of climbing is just pain. Worst I made myself suffer was 6600 feet on the BRP and the altitude was far less.

Went for a hike and bike last night with a bud. Did a couple of runs to work the bugs out for the mountains (Valemount, BC) on Saturday :D. First time this season on a mountain due to covid. I am stoked af.
My bike is feeling snappy since I upgraded the rear spring to titanium and dropped a spring rate, then added volume reducers to the forks. Makes for more floating and less trail=faster and more steeez baby ;)

well don’t wanna jinx anything but I upgraded to a 2020 SC Hightower today. Gave them $1k down and made sure they put her in the back. Woulda took her home, but the teller wouldn’t give me more than a grand:monocle:. Shop is going out of business next week and I got her for under $3k, I pounced. It’s a demo, but she’s still fresh and new. I’ll get a new bike receipt with warranty . Don’t think she was ridden too many times my neighbor actually demo’d this one and purchased the build step up. They charged $80 a demo and were firm with it. I’ll swap over my GX build, carbon bars, and I9. I overbiked with the Kona, never truly fell in love. She’s already a pound or too lighter before the immediate upgrades. Now I gotta sell my process. Think it should be easy with theses strange covid times.

7DDDBEC4-E35D-43AF-AD93-416366B3A825.jpg Oh man I love her! Can’t resist the Toyota colors lol! I’m riding laps in my neighborhood like a little kid. My good friend bought a nice trance advanced (his first nice Mtb) in the shop closing deal too. We are both so stoked. Our neighborhood is small and mighty when it comes to mountain bike riders. It was officially ridden twelve times before me. Unfortunately I’m not sure if I got a receipt? I’ll figure all that out before they close. My wife was awesome and went in to pick it up today while I was working. She knew how important this was to me :D
Shop still provided good service til the end. They bled the rear brake at my request, and there was a clicking on compression and they sorted that out too. Good thing I can do my own wrenching for the most part.

Looks awesome! I've been watching the release of this new frame. It seems to check all the boxes for what I want. Let us know what you think of it when it's all built up - and post a picture :)

I just recieved my Santa Cruz Blur with a 120 fork (Fox SC 34) in late April. I'm really enjoying it. I almost wished I would have known the SB115 was coming.

Definitely will. It is replacing my SB100, which I really enjoyed, but our terrain around here is pretty chunky and the 100 would get a little overwhelmed at speed in the chunk. Hoping this rides really close to my 100 but with a little more compliance in the rough.
