Don’t know what type of bikes you have, but I refuse to put my $4k mountainbike on a mast style rack. Doesn’t really matter the brand a tray style rack is going to be more secure, easier to load, and better on your bikes finish.

If it was a Yakima tray style rack I’d say you’ll be fine fwiw.

basic mountain bikes no big $$ bikes :). I'm leaning towards the KUAT. Between the NV 2.0 and NV2.0 base is the work stand, is that useful ? I don't feel like I would need it.

thanks ! would you say, when folded, the work stand extends a bit further down vs no bike stand ? im going for ground clearance if taking the bikes on a trail.

The work stand has nothing to do with ground clearance. In the first pic it is extended to work on the bike. The orange extended piece. In the 2nd and 3rd pic it is within the rack. You can take the work stand out of the rack. It’s just a quick release. No ground clearance issues.A09DF9C1-6413-4DBA-9FDD-9979E7F22A6C.jpg656682EB-FF4F-4527-9BCC-7DEB3B8C6727.jpg55A75874-4C8E-43A2-9C47-F4177DE4D257.jpg

I've used mine a lot travelling. It's good to be able to clamp up your bike for a quick fix.

I welded a built-in recoiling cable bike lock yesterday. It’s a toy-loc branded lock FYI. I’ll probably add a plate for the lock pin on the bed floor at some point also.

I spend a LOT of time riding around town (I have about a 15 mile loop around town that I ride before/after work), and my mountain bike wasnt ideal for that. (Did give a good workout though) My road bike is of the vintage persuasion, so I wanted a more "urban" bike. I picked up this Giant Escape this weekend and I freaking love it. Rides well, shifts perfectly fits me to a T. The only thing Ill do is replace the Gatorskins with a more gravel tire. I've put 60 miles on it so far and my only regret is that I should have gotten one of these long ago.

holy crap i need some dirt therapy. i looked at the yetis in the garage yesterday and they were crying.

if not that, at least getting the road bike out of the city. between the nimrods on the city trails and all the current road construction that just popped up, it's getting a little nutty. might have to head out for some boulder backroad cruises and a climb up lefthand or over to deer creek for the backroad climb up to conifer/evergreen.

My bike mechanic repaired my forks finally. I added an oil-slick chain last night my sister got me for xmas last year too. I’m headed to the local park this evening to brush off the dust.

This was posted in MTB.. It is my local trial 5 mins from my house. Not sure how they got there rankings but. Super fun trail but in my opinion definitely not the best in MI.

Got out last night, felt amazing. I upgraded the rear spring to titanium this winter, and added volume reducers to the forks. Also, the new spring rate is 400 compared to the old 450. The bike is so responsive now. It’s the kind of response I was expecting from the bike before I got it. I can bunny hop it finally haha. I’m very stoked!
