Looks great! Let me know if you ever need some trail advice for this area. My coworkers and I have ridden most of the trail systems between Hood River and Tacoma. We spend a lot of time at Growlers. My wife and kids also ride so I know the kid friendly ones as well.

Made it to Valemount yesterday. Had a blast. Hit lots of features I haven’t before. Getting better one lap at a time :hattip:

Did 8 miles at Larch yesterday, and my buddy accidentally took me to a black-diamond for my first single track downhill ride. Thrillium Trail Larch. Then climbed back up 1800ft in 2 miles. It sucked.
Downhill Trail was a blast!!! I told him I didn’t want to be doing anything crazy, and he said this was one of the most technical trails he’s done. We were hauling balls....I’m not too comfy catching a lot of air just yet, so the big 20ft tables I rolled....next time down I’ll know what to expect and be a little ballsier.
These new bikes are beyond belief. Never in a thousand years would I have guessed this bike could plow through what it did.

    Matching Kings :D

I was at one of the local bike stores today picking up gloves and figured I should take a 27.5" bike for a spin. My Rockhopper is a 29er and I'm not really a fan of it, it doesn't feel agile or anything like bikes I used to ride.

So I hopped on a Norco Range A2 and spent a few minutes tearing up their parking lot. Yup, 27.5" is the size for me. It was almost perfect. The size and handling was instantly back to normal for me. Also, wow is that a nice bike. I think I'll definitely be upgrading from riding hardtails my whole life and snagging a FS next.

I rode some 29’s, and they felt great, until I rode a 27.5 that fit.
I’ve talked to quite a few others that went 29 and prefer 27.5 for more fun, technical trails.

That's pretty much it My 29er is fine for casual riding or cruising mild trails, but on anything technical or when I want to throw it around a little it's just awkward.

The new BMX track, pump track and skills park opened a month or two ago here. I just finished checking it out. Yep definitely need to upgrade my bike. Bottomed out my fork a couple times hopping off obstacles. Also, had my first wipeout of the season. LOL

Yeah, I'm a little rusty from not riding ladders in 10+ years. :p It wasn't too bad. Just a low speed bail from about 2ft up on a ladder.

This is my Ibis HD3. I’ll be 50 next month and had a hip replacement almost 2 years ago. I’m still doing the stupid things I did way back when. I love it. I’m not slowing down anytime soon.

Stupid question. I have tubeless tires, what do I carry for a flat, a spare tire, and a pump? LOL

On longer rides I carry a tube and a pump. On shorter rides (< 10 miles) I typically only carry some extra valve cores and a pump. With tubeless, I have yet to get a significant leak - other than at the valve stem. I have burped my tires a few times requiring me to pump them back up, but otherwise they are pretty easy.

I also carry some 1"x1" pieces of fabric. If you get a cut in the tire that sealant won't fix, use a small allen wrench and stuff the fabric into the cut, then rotate the tire so the fabric absorbs the sealant. This should seal larger cuts right up so you don't have to toss a tube into the tire.

I prefer to carry a hand pump and co2. Hand pump doesn’t run out unless you die of exhaustion (helps if you buy a lezyne or the like)

But always keep a tube and some multipurpose duct tape if all else fails.
