Since I'm leaving Friday after work and the event doesn't start til Tuesday, I'd like to do some AZ exploring and skip some pavement on my way there. Maybe get to the camp area and stake my claim Monday or Tuesday. Frenchy and I have an area in the "May or May Not Party" zone we want to stick to.

Per usual, I don't have a good itinerary, especially for the following week.

I’m hitting the road as soon as I get an alignment. I’ll let you know when I’m heading south, maybe we can meet up somewhere heading to Sedona.

I hopefully will be able to come for some of it at least. I live about an hour away in flagstaff so I got no excuses lol. Definitely will have to participate in the cinders run and hopefully the fire is out by then. Does any of the T2S crowd run the cliffhanger trail outside of Sedona? I've done it a few times in my 03 and its a really good one.

It is usually on the list of trails. The T2S crew calls it Oak Creek Homestead but from what I can tell it’s the same. I think I was the only one to run it last year and it left a couple marks…

So this guy at work said he just watched some special on Sedona and talked about the homestead, do you get to see it at some point on the trail? I might be down to check that one out too if it’s not one we talked about

It’s the one we talked about in October where the chick bailed out of that Tacoma and wouldn’t get back in…

There is a gate blocking vehicles a few hundred yards passed the “cliffhanger” section. I think it is about a 1/2 mile walk the rest of the way but is supposed to be right on the creek…

PSA - make sure your significant other will not have a nervous breakdown driving down loose rocky trails with steep drop offs before you’re out there.

Just a heads up that is is fire season here and there are already a couple good sized fires happening. One fire is north of Flagstaff and a lot of people have been evacuated. Many people are also on edge as the whole area really dry and the winds have been high. Please tread carefully and do not have any sparks or open flames anywhere outside. They think the fire near Flagstaff might have been from dragging trailer chains.

Still in Cali, unfortunately. Spending the night in Alabama Hills. Got to stretch her rebuilt legs and new shoes out quickly and she does rub during articulation but not as bad as I expected and definitely controllable. Can’t bomb woop sections anymore or I’ll rip out my whole fender. Oh well, will do another alignment when I get back and maybe tub the firewall. home for the night.
