I’m not sure what tires you run, but your truck will impress your with what it can do; when you air down and use the locker, and just take it easy.
I’ve taken our 2wd 4runner with Ko2s aired down, no real traction device(abs limited slip don’t count!) up some pretty harry stuff where I would watch others with 4wd spin out and act a fool( I never liked being behind certain people because of flying rocks) going low and slow will get you up and down a lot of stuff that might surprise you.
If sunny says you can do most of the stuff, I’d have faith. And if you get with a group of us, someone usually has a strap or a winch, so it’s not a big deal; and maybe even a good thing, I wouldn’t mind testing some of my recovery skills, snap straps, seeing if my rear mounts will fold or not hahah

Well, now I have to figure out the time off. This is too good. I do have some recovery sense, but it's all sand stuff. And I know how things work for the most part. But I can't claim any real experience, I just know how not to be a dipshit most of the time.

    You’ll be golden then!!
I’m pretty excited to try broken arrow, like you I didn’t have a ton of experience in my current setup setup- I shouldn’t have been scared at all.
I could be wrong, but I think a lot of these trails have bypasses around the more technical stuff, so that’s always reassuring too.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, a super tasty bbq joint minutes from camp as well; some of the best most moist brisket I’ve ever laid eyes on! They were out of ribs, but I bet they were good.
Here’s another teaser just to get your juices flowing!

Last year the website was eventually opened to signups here: https://www.tundrastosedona.com/ You'd RSVP that you're coming and pick the official trail runs you want to go on and sign up for those. Not sure how it's operating this year, but you can also sign up for the trails in person at the event.

Can a stock ‘02 4x4 make it through the trails on tiny tires?

At the very least you're going to want to remove the side steps. There was a 2.5 gen with similar style steps that pushed his up towards the cab on a gatekeeper and couldn't open up his passenger door.

There are fire roads and other easier trails in the area if you don't take on the official trails.

Size may not get you as bad as the type of tire. Those aren't really made for rocks. Bring 2 spares maybe?

they do have several fire service roads as trails also. broken Arrow, greasy spoon and smiley rock will need better tires and some lift... 6 of the 9 trails were 4x2 capable forest service roads

So I read up a little on it and don't think I could make it. I have 0 camping gear and 0 outdoor skills. I don't even know what trees the tacos and hamburgers grow on.
