Wife was driving mine the other day; with her stopped at a stoplight and looking left, I stealthily reached over and engaged Beast Mode. She then romped it to hit a gap in traffic, expecting a standard response. Instead, her head snapped back and she spun ‘em all the way through first gear. I cackled maniacally the whole time, because she legitimately did not know what was happening or why. Eventually she figured it out and said “OK, enough. Please turn this off.” So...yeah. That’s what she said: “slow down, I can’t handle this.” LMAO

Got it. Thanks. I'm new to the Tundra, and just figuring things out. The truck is awesome, just hoping to not get the "Cam Tower oil leak". I thought since I saw it present for many years, I would be cool, but some of these threads make me wonder. lol. Thanks for the reply. This is a cool group!

I wouldn't think so, but cannot confirm. Beast mode disables the "Nannies" or safety controls that are in the drive train. Would think brake system is separate.

I usually run in Beast mode when I am just running around the hills, and turn it off when on the hiway. Running 35s with stock gearing slows things up a bit, until I hit "The Button"

I turned off traction control today and turned on beast mode. I spun tires and scared my wife half to death. My 2 year old son, however, kept shouting, “Faster! Faster!”

That's due to your model year. 2014 and up are slower at takeoff.

Anyone tried this with 4x4 engaged? I gave it a quick go the other day, it didn't seem to work, and had to keep rolling then forgot to try again. Maybe 4x4 already turns the nannies off?

Vsa off as in just clicking it one or the next step by turning it completely off by holding down for 3 seconds?

I thought ya'll were exaggerating with this, but to my surprise it is a HUGE difference in response! Other trucks I've had may have held gears a bit longer, but the throttle sensitivity was not noticeable much if at all. This could get me into trouble... :burnrubber:

In my 19 I hold the trac off button until I get the notification in the cluster display, release the trac button and hold it again until I get another notification, then hit the tow haul ass button! In this mode, the gas pedal almost acts like a button. It's either on or off! :)

Strange. My 2019 isn't doing this. I push the trac off button and the light comes on. If I press it again and hold it in, the light goes off. On/Off...no matter what I do.
