Costco uses interstate and they do make a 27f agm. If they don’t have it in store I don’t see why they couldn’t get one ordered for you.

My battery is about 3 years old. May be time to look into getting a new one. And after reading the thread my vote is NorthStar also. Thanks for the info guys & gals.

well I went to my local costco..they don't carry 27F...sigh..the other costco close by didn't have any in stock. seems they don't get much 27F here. They had plenty of 24, also no AGM our size.

Guess my time is up. 2016 tundra crew max OEM battery is crapping out. If I don’t drive it for more than 2-3 days I need someone to jump start the truck. I’m looking Northstar, Odyssey, Interstate. Any deals available? I read AGM is the way to go. Personal reviews from people who have experience with AGM batteries? What you would recommend.

I’ve narrowed my find to 27f northstar X2 at batteries plus. I’m green on this subject but what does this photo refer to with optional and non-optional. I have the 5.7 btw.

They list the non-optional as a 24F and the optional as 27F. I have a 27F X2 battery, and the CCA is 930. I've bought many X2 from Batteries Plus for various vehicles.

I had to get a battery on Monday all of a sudden and went to Interstate where they had the "Econo" battery for $40 and it was too much to resist for me at this time.
These are returns that they run through testing and clean up and give 90day warranty too and though I imagine I will end up getting exactly what I paid for the cheap battery is welcomed at this odd time too.

Of course they also did not give me a 27F at first and I had to argue a little until they actually looked up the difference themselves and got a different one,at least I never left just trusting that it was right.

Do the 27F only come at CCA 930?

Has anyone had any issues with batteries shipped to their home? I want to order a new Odyssey but am weary of damage from the package chuckers in my area.

Thanks! I ended up just going to AutoZone and ordering one in the store. A little more piece of mind having them receive it in a bigger order/shipment and if there's anything wrong with it, it's easier just to deal straight with them.

Last time at Auto Zone batteries way over priced for what you got , and even the sales guy told me they were no good , best warranty was a 3 year, maybe different else where. Go with OEM 27F 120.00 AT TOYOTA

Anyone have a more cost effective alternative to the 27F Northstar? $350 is more than I want to spend on a battery right now...

YA , Go to toyota pickup OEM 27F for 120.00, 800 plus CCA and big reserve amps. Well worth it , and very reliable battery.

I just replaced my 2017 27f with a Interstate 24f AGM from Costco. That is what they said is the correct battery. Should I have gone with a 27f instead of 24f?

I've been running the 31R for a while now. I have never drained it but I have used it more then I've been then I felt comfortable to see if I could drain it but it doesn't even hesitate after a couple of hours of just ACC on. And it starts just fine in -8F to 119F weather.

I have a 2012 tundra and a yellow top optima and the positive cable is too short any ideas how I can fix this or do I need to invest in a different battery size. I have had really good luck with yellow tops in the past. Any help is appreciated.

Those might work... you can always make your own... search bus bar battery terminal extention..
I made one to put a 31M in my 4 runner... will do the same in the tundra when its time...

Well went the cheap route. Might pay for it later.Project Farm guy on YouTube did a video on batteries. Seems the Walmart brand did very well in his extensive tests. No 27f, so went with the 24f for 88 dollars.

OEM 27F Feel safer with x-tra CCA , and reserve amps. Still have original 27F from 2013 , working great for 3rd battery in boat, depth finders and misc.

Diehard makes a 24F with more CCA's then their 27F. Plus it has a longer warranty. When its time, Im going with a 24F from Diehard/Advance Autoparts.

I wouldn't even buy flashlight batteries from any of the parts stores, high priced and even with warranty , who wants to always be taking it back . Except NAPA , only one I'd trust ,other than OEM.

The bigger the better. Get the largest battery that will fit in the tray. I've bought more than a few of the smaller batteries that have the same or better specs and they never last as long or start as cold.
Disclosure - never owned a gel battery, I'm talking about lead acid.

I prefer getting a battery from a store like Walmart, Autozone, O'Reilly that is typically in every city or town. I like the Costco batteries but there is not a Costco in every city or town.
