No. The "NO OBD" mode doesn't recognize the reverse gear. The "NO OBD" allows you to run a 2nd device such as my ScanGauge 3. So without the reverse safety and my speed trim set, I still have control when in reverse...essentially a stock reverse setting up to 10 mph.

@Jarrow I greatly appreciate the feedback! First, I'm unsure why "AutoDetect" didn't find your 2023 Tundra transmission PIDs. I will check our database Tuesday morning. It should find your Commanded Gear and sense reverse gear when you shift into reverse.

I can explain why the power level stays the same as you switch across from City, to Sport, and Track. Correct me if I'm wrong, I think you're referring to the buttons at the bottom of the app, City, Sport, and Track. If you're in City 5 and you tap Sport, you'll be in Sport 5. I'll explain. As you look at the mobile app, you'll notice it resembles the Banks iDash, our 52mm digital gauge. We wanted the look and feel to be similar across the app and iDash. Many PedalMonser owners upgrade to the iDash because it displays so much that the truck's dashboard doesn't. When using an iDash, you ladder-up or ladder-down the levels. Rather, you tap the up or down buttons to increase or decrease levels. Sport 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc... When you get to Sport 10, the next level is Track 1. We kept this user interface across both iDash and mobile app. The good news is that the mobile app was designed and maintained in-house by our software team. So we can make changes relatively quickly. I'll bring up your request Tuesday to see if it can be implemented. And, I'll get a '23 Tundra in the shop to test and implement Reverse Safety. We can push an update to your PedalMonster wirelessly.

How does it interact with tow/haul mode ? I know tow/haul does something similar with throttle response, but it also lets transmission hang on to lower gears longer.
Would you just have to set it to stock to use tow haul?

In my case tow/ haul made it that much more obnoxious just for fun I turned it all the way up to max in track mode and all it did was blow the rear tires loose, kinda pointless really but I could def see that the pedal monster being used in substitute for tow/haul, unless of course your need gears to hang a little longer

My first tow with the PM will be next week. When I towed my TT with the PC, I just turned the PC down to City mode and used my Tow/Haul. The reason for that is that I didn't want the PC trying to lunge the truck with a trailer hooked up to it. I'm betting that the PM in City and using Tow/haul will be just fine...for me at least since it is flat terrain here.

@ToyFan. Just installed mine on a 15 Sequoia and I really like it. Quick question. What happens if i forget my phone or there is some kind of Bluetooth connectivity issue? Does it go back to stock or does it stay in the configuration previously programmed?

Glad you're enjoying the PedalMonster. No need to use the app unless you want to change settings. It remembers the last setting. So, you could drop your phone in a lake and PedalMonster wouldn't care. It'll stay at the same setting until you found your phone or paired a new phone with it.

Jay- thanks for keeping us informed across the forum. I want to purchase the Pedal Monster and am having a hell of a time narrowing it down for my specific vehicle. Finding it on the Banks website is a pretty poor experience. Can you point me to the correct product? Much appreciated. Shaun (2023 Tundra Limited 4x4 non-hybrid).

Shaun, sorry about the confusion on the website. Just a few days ago I temporarily deactivated the product page for our PedalMonster for 2023 Tundra. I should be reactivating the page in the next 2-3 weeks. Toyota changed the ECM's PID structure in the '23 model and moved the "selected gear" parameter ID. One PedalMonter's key features is its ability to seamlessly return the truck to stock throttle response in reverse gear. This feature is active in all Tundra models up to 2022. We should have the data to activate this feature on the 2023 hybrid and non-hybrid models very shortly. As soon as we do, I will re-enable the product page. If you'd like, I can contact you as soon as it's ready. Please send me an email when you have a moment. jtilles at bankspower dot com. Thanks!

Jay from Banks here. Love to hear that kind of feedback! Be sure to try Low-Speed Trim when you're towing or driving in snow/ice/sand, etc. You can tell PedalMonster to without its added sensitivity under 10mph. You'll find it in the app's menu. It's a super helpful feature.

Are all the reviews based off of the $295 one?

They are both designed to increase throttle response and eliminate the lag. I have ran the PC for about 5 years and now I have swapped over to the Banks. I'll start with the PC. There are 2 versions. The original version was a non-bluetooth module, and the latest one is a bluetooth version. There are failures with the bluetooth version which will leave your pedal completely unresponsive. This is very dangerous when you lose all control, and it has happened to a few members in this forum. This is caused by the PC not having a failsafe, and the BT also pulls power from the gas pedal connector. This pushes that connector over the voltage limit that it was not designed for. The Banks video explains that very well and he shows how it happens using a cutout box that they tested it with. The PC also causes alot of gear hunting.

The Banks is a far superior product. It has failsafe that returns you to stock pedal if anything happens. It also has Reverse safety, speed trim adjustments, etc. It also does not gear hunt like the PC did. @ToyFan is from Banks and he can provide answers to any additional questions.

Daddy got a present from Santa today.

    20230728_191039.jpg

    And there's an update

    Screenshot_20230728_195159.jpg

I installed the splitter because my radio needs the OBD port after all so thankfully I ordered it as a contingency.

The app had some trouble communicating with the unit and I had to hit the little button on the back to get pairing accomplished. Afterwards, with the update and pairing done, it looks to be communicating well. I can't wait to take it on a test drive.

So I am having an error with communication:

    Screenshot_20230729_123502.jpg Screenshot_20230729_123508.jpg

I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. So far the only way to fix is to unplug the splitter from the port then plug back in which forces me to put my phone number in and go through all that initial jazz again. I guess the splitter is causing me to have the error but I need it or the auto gauges in my radio won't work.

If there's gonna be a problem with something new, I'll be the one to have it I tell ya. Glad I didn't buy the new Tundra!

I haven't had any issues at all with mine and the splitter. Make sure you are in No OBD mode in the settings. @ToyFan can assist with the error.

I texted their tech line. Even though it's a weekend, they answered me. Told me to try No OBD setting and it should work. I asked if the unit would still communicate despite signals being sent to the radio and they said yes.

For anyone who may need it, text your technical questions to 800-601-8072

    Top notch customer svc.

Yep....you have to use No OBD for the data to be redirected through the splitter. I use one for my ScanGauge.
