I'm diggin' my x2. It works for what I need it for. If you want to use the bed extender. the locking bars will get in the way, so it won't rotate. You'll have to manually flip it and set it in the bracket.

Good to know. I plan on using a bed divider that mounts to the track system. Not sure if lowering the track system will be a problem for bed dividers. I will get a measurement after I install the cover.

Judging from this picture of an older tundra with what I think is an oem bed divider and from seeing them on tacomas.... they don't hang down to the bed floor. There's at least and inch under them so I'm thinking you'll be ok even after lowering the rails.

Finally got and installed my X4. Easy install and love the way it looks. Thanks for the pro's and cons of the X2. Had to wait 5 weeks because Bak was backlogged 2,000+ X4's!

How'd it work out with the bed divider?

Didn't get one yet. Only lowered the rails about an inch. Looks like I won't have a problem from the pic you posted. Thanks again.

I believe in the bed divider footnotes it stated that it will NOT work when the factory deck railing has been lowered. I only remember reading that (there was a link on here somewhere) and was disappointed about it. If anyone does try it, because I agree with you that it looks like it should work, let us know. I need a sliding divider desperately!

I have never had the MX4 so I can't speak about it. This one however is great so far. It has been raining since the day I installed it and other than a tiny bit of water near the tailgate it's dry. That's because of the tailgate not the cover.

New plan. I'm going to order a tailgate net and hook it to the rail system and the lower bed loops to keep stuff from sliding forward. It will also be easy to remove and store when not being used.

So, I have the Revolver X2, but want to install the TracRac. I was told that this was not possible by a local Rack shop. I’m glad to see you have done this. How do you go about mounting the TracRac system w/ the Revolver installed?

It is really straight forward. I don't understand why a shop would not know. When installing the Trac rails I used a flush router with a bearing to open the stake holes in the bed for the expansion blocks of the Trac rails to fit into. (This is if you have the newer one-piece rail covers that doesn't have the removable plugs). Drill a 1/2" hole right in the center of the fake knock out, then router it out to just the size of the metal underneath it. This way the hole in the plastic is not huge and you would see it from under the Trac rail.
As far as the X2, it is not ever close to interfering with the rails... Doesn't touch at any point.

Just to update my situation with my X2 that was starting to split. I contacted Bak warranty department who was very nice and informative. They requested my proof of purchase and pictures of the cover and to confirm my current shipping address. 1 days time and they email back stating they are sending me a replacement. Glad to see a company stand behind there product, well done!

Just put it on today. Wont have to worry about it freezing and not opening. I live in Wilmington, DE. My dad lives in southeastern PA and have never had a problem with his on his ram. I could understand why they don’t work in below zero weather. But hell, I wouldn’t want to work in below zero weather.

I have the Revolver X4 with the BakBox. I do not reccomend the Bak Box:

    Construction is a bit "chincy"
The Crewmax bed depth is already challedged at 5.5", the Bakbox takes more
Bakbox folds out of the way, but it still takes up ~6" of depth and you have to remove everything in the box in order to get it to fold
You have to lean over the bed or hop up into it to use it

Personally for me, I wish I had gotten the Swing case. Doesn't take bed depth, you can easily get at it from the tailgate.
