I put new LED bulbs into the overhead and one kept falling out. Tried to adjust to fix it and now, I broke it. Went to the dealership today to buy a new part and was told that I would have to buy the whole console.....crazy. Anybody have a fix for this. Thanks

    I had the same issue.

pull the console down. 6 torx screws and unplug the power plug. You will be able to do all repairs from behind it.

they use copper bands, like flat wire and looks like a circuit board but easy to work on from behind. You can solder repairs or bends things back into shape.

I did the same as @Jwood562 described. I bent and busted the flat metal and screwed up the prongs that hold the bulb. I was able to fix the prongs behind the unit. Two screws behind the glasses door, two behind the lower plastic cover.

edit: I have the 2.5 gen but the process is about the same.

I had to do the same, on mine the plastic that held the prongs in was broken, so I used some epoxy to mold it back in place. It was broken by the previous owner, who put some crappy leds in it.

OP here...I took the overhead console out and repaired the socket mount....I used superglue and baking soda to hold the copper lines in place. All good now.
