Understood.....the nice thing about the application is that it's uniform provided you take your time with the sprayer.....and it is definitely a time saver when applying to aggressive tires

Looking for a good compound to get out heavy swirls and scratches. Would you recommend Griot's complete compound, boss correcting Cream, m205 or 3D One using LC orange pad or uro fiber pads?

Are the "wash-less" products (Reload etc.) that much better than the ole bucket and garden hose washing routine? My tundra is out two months out since applying Jescar Powerlock on it and I want to keep it protected and shiney...which method would be better and product to use for "wash-less" or bucket and garden hose? Thanks

You may have to step it up a notch if the imperfections are as bad as you indicate.....I'd pick up some Fast Correcting Cream.....and have a more aggressive pad than Uro-Fiber on hand if needed.....m205 is a polish....you'd need M105 to correct

For the record....for medium- heavy imperfections, I've had success with 3D One and Uro-fiber pads

Depends on how heavy are the scratches, you may need to either used M105 with a yellow pad or griots Correcting cream with a microfiber pad. You will also need to do a second pass to finish it off, but that will depend on how corrected you are trying to get the paint.

Reload isn’t a cleaning product, it’s a sealant. It can be mixed with other products to make a detail spray, but on it’s own it’s not something you’ll use to clean the truck.

I assume you’re talking about rinseless or waterless washes. Are they better than breaking out the bucket and hose? Not generally, but are certainly effective and convenient options. (As long as the vehicle isn’t extremely dirty or have caked on dirt and mud.)

4 days of rain on the cerakote steps and they are beading very well. They look new again. 31B8B767-C344-4C48-85E6-EC61C18BDE41.jpg

Nothing seems to beat a bucket wash for a vehicle. I use waterless products for a quick wipe down and to get bird crap off my paint the moment I see it. I keep a bottle of spiked punch in my truck for these kind of situations. I wouldn’t not look at them as a alternative to a bucket wash but that just my 2cents. A weekly wash of my tundra takes about 45 min and my lil girl likes to help (she is six and loves to do the wheels)

I use Uber Rinseless Wash the same way - in a spray bottle for touch-ups on the chrome, bird crap, etc. The URW, with a different dilution, is a great lube for my clay mitt.

I don’t want to play down anyone else’s experiences but I feel the waterless/washless has been just as good as the bucket method. And in many instances much better.

My truck is ceramic coated which is a game charger...

The issues I run into is that my Tundra is in direct sun light all day. Secondly my hose water is very high in minerals. The vast majority of the time I can’t dry quick enough before I get huge and tough to remove water spots (without scratching).

I use the Carpro ECH20 with about a 1/3 of a gallon of distilled water.

I've been impressed with how it's been working for my steps and cowl. Even if it doesn't last the "200 washes", I'm still pretty happy with how well it's been working. As of now, I can see it lasting a year or 2 for my application

If this stuff lasts a year I won’t use anything else. I found the process to be very easy and for $20 that would be very cost effective

well if you don’t have water or if your water quality is poor then yes I would say waterless wash has a huge benefit. I just don’t recommend it as a go to if you have access to good water. CarPro ECH20 is a great product as well.

my thoughts too! i'm getting ready to go ahead and knock out my bedside caps and considered doing the rear and front bumpers. my biggest concern was always the water dripping...especially after seeing how Jason's reacted. BTW, @War Machine , did you ever get that spot resolved or anything?

What's everyone's go to for spray sealant? those of us that don't have ceramic coatings.Looking for longevity and potentially something that plays well with wax? I've got single stage on truck so I'm wondering if I may be stuck just treating the 2 different areas differently because of this. I was using chem guys v07 but only because it was free but after watching a comparison it's more of a quick detailer than a long lasting sealant.

Nope. Nothing has worked. The only thing left to try is wet sanding, and I’m not sure I want to do that.

On the bright side, it definitely demonstrates how tough the product is.

Is there anything I can try to make it look better? Can I polish it? What product should I try? The picture makes it look worse then it is but it still drives me nuts

I actually had a thought of applying CarPro dlux to it after correcting. I’ll get some bkf and give it a try I’ll do a small spot on bottom left corner of the side to see if effects the finish at all first because the spot I need to do is right at eye level

Just make sure you polish with the grain of the stainless and bar keepers friend should at least make it much less noticeable if not remove it entirely.

Lol no worries! You can paint it on with a brush to saturate the area (or just use a towel/sponge) and then scrub with a microfiber towel or microfiber applicator pad. Then buff clean with water and a clean microfiber towel after scrubbing it in.

So this happened. Apparently Wise Guy ate through the Griots bottle it was in. When I started washing it out, the paint came off the cabinet where it was sitting. I have a bottle with the old formula in it, and another with the new formula in it. The other bottle didn’t do this. Problem is I forgot which is which.......

    5E7831F1-7197-431C-9882-A9A52ABE7FAF.jpg 9954C6A7-E009-4F77-8C45-A1B1A624353B.jpg
    585CCBD5-47B0-4752-A4D6-3731A5BAB856.jpg

I’ve been using this product for quite a while and have never seen this before. I suppose something else could have leaked at some point and gotten on the bottle, but none of my other bottles were damaged. I’m sending a message to Shine Supply to see if they have any clue. Maybe it can only be stored in certain types of bottles?
