    @Pudge @War Machine

I have a 2019 1794 in white. I've been using power lock topped with collinite 845 for the last 5 years or so and like it but it's more labor intensive to apply than the hydro2. My tundra is garage kept for the most part. What would you guys recommend?

DIY pop n lock, 2018 LED headlights, morimoto fogs, TRD shift knob, DirtyDeeds 8"BAM exhaust, kenwood HU,JL amp, Tech12volts Tundra full speaker upgrade w/sub, Swing case, and lots of fluid film
That's a great combo but I hear ya on the labor.
Hydro2+beadmaker would be easier as they are both sprays.
I like Carpro reload, and ech2o for touch ups, doesnt get much easier and very good protection.
You could also use Optimum Opti-seal which is easy and lasts a long time too.

Thank you. Which one gives more bang for the buck, hydro2 or reload? I'm getting ready to place an order and trying to decide. I have some iron x in my cart and I just started using ONR at the advice of War Machine.

It's hard to say but I would try the reload first. The hydro2 is awesome but can be finicky, car has to be cool, cant apply in the sun and you gotta get it dried quickly or it can cause issues. If you live in a sunny hot climate I would go with reload first and also get some ech2o as well. Those 2 will be less than a bottle of hydro2. The hydro2 bottle may last longer cuz you dilute it way down and don't use much but it's an expensive investment.
The reload you can use every 4-6 months, the ech20 you can use for touch ups, waterless washes, rinseless washes, and can mix it with a little reload and water and make a bad ass spray.

oooooh! Good info on that hydro2. I have to avoid products that the car has to be cool or shaded for. I simply have nowhere to wash it that isn't in direct sunlight.

The heat and sun is really bad with hydro2. Even up here in CT I have to park in the middle of the yard under a tree or do it at sundown. That said i love the stuff and it works so well, its just not a good choice for some, unless you wanna do it it sun up or sun down

Most unfortunate, as you and War Machine have both recommended it. I'll have to find a substitue, or a place to do the washing out of the sun. I'm just glad you shared this info before I spend the money on it!

It can be used, you just need to be aware of how and when you use it. Just don't use it in the extreme heat or direct sunlight. Here in CT we regularly reach 85-100° with high humidity in the summer. I still use it but make sure I'm in the shade and don't do it at the peak temps of the day and don't mix it too stronh. Its doable and it's very easy and works really well when done right.

Good to know. The temps don't get that high here, and we don't have humidity like that either. The big problem is that I have no shade. None.

Shade is nice but you can do it when the sun is really low or down completely, there should be enough light to spray it and dry it. The nice part is how fast it goes, it's literally like hosing down and drying your truck, maybe 15 minutes.

Is hydro2 something you can apply twice for added protection?

Idk for sure. I think it does best after a good wash and clay treatment. It bonds best to clean paint, it probably bonds to itself okay too. I'd have to research and see.

During the summer I take it down to a self serve bay and apply it there. Takes 5-10 minutes.

Got some pretty nasty stains on my front seats (grease, sweat, etc). What works best for cleaning the seats?

I'm guessing these are cloth seats.......APC agitated with a drill brush and then wiped with a microfiber will probably work...unless they're really bad....in which case an extractor might be in order

My wife is on my shit list. We left a party the other night after she drank way too much. I was the DD. She threw up all over her Rav4 on the way home. It was mostly liquid. :puke::puke:

I've tried everything I can think of to get the smell out. I washed everything with warm soapy water. Then I went over it again with Tuff Stuff which I let soak into the seat. Then she tried cleaning it with vinegar. It still smells.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

I would try baking soda and a little water. Baking soda is really good about absorbing smells. Test on a small area first

I've found a good scrub of course first. I've gotten smoke smell out of a used vehicle utilizing charcoal and fabric softeners sheets. @FirstGenVol

The seat is tough if it got into the foam. It could just take some time with absorbents as mentioned. I have used a shop vac after a liberal baking soda/water bath to help get solution out. Shop vac may work on seat too, I might be hesitant to soak the seat very much though.

A lot depends on how deep it got into the seat padding. It might take several times with some type of extraction to get most of it out. I'd be very cautious with how much water you use on the seats...too much and your run the risk of helping it sink deeper into the cushion. If you don't have an extractor, then some fabric cleaner first, diluted, and a shop vac to draw it out a little at a time.

Everyone else has given good recommendations for cleaning, so I don’t have a lot to add there. One thing I’ll recommend as a last resort is an ozone generator. They don’t cost a ton, and will get the smell out of anything. Plenty of uses for one besides the truck also.

This is the one I have:

Enerzen Commercial Ozone Generator 6,000mg Industrial O3 Air Purifier Deodorizer Sterilizer (6,000mg - Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JAP7388/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_ya57DbBTFXBAX

Sorry I’m late, but I’d go with Reload. Hydro2 does nothing for gloss. While nothing is going to make white pop a whole lot, Reload and Powerlock do better than most anything else.

My chrome wheels need a little love. I keep them clean and don’t drive the truck much, but they have a couple little blemishes, what is a good safe chrome polish?
