    Sorry.

I told myself last week I was done ordering detail supplies after I ordered a shit load of CarPro stuff and I lasted almost a week. Thought I would give the mother's a try for that cheap. Probably won't use it till fall. Going to use reload first.

Any recommendations for a good APC or cleaner/degreaser? I currently use dawn or simple green

@Pudge I use Dawn as well or really whatever dish soap is under the sink. I have also on top of that used a Iron X agent

I use Solution because I order from Shine Supply anyway, but Purple Power or Spray Nine are cheap and just as good as anything else.

I have no willpower. Got a bottle of reset to try, with that they are sending 100ml of hydro2 for only $10 and I got the big jug of optimum tire coating. All in all not too much damage to the wallet.

I have been using CG maxisuds2 which is good and better than anything else I've used (which isn't saying much) and it's pretty cheap. I have heard so many good things about the reset I just had to get it, especially with the hydro2 deal

CG is better out of the cannon. I may not have had my mixture right, but the one time I tried it with reset it didn’t do well.

I was a Meguiars APC user for years. Someone recommended Optimum Power Clean, so I ordered a gallon. Stuff is awesome, currently have it mixed at 3:1 and 5:1 ratios. It's a kick-ass tire cleaner at 3:1

I tried out a few polishes today on the hood. Used 6.5" lake country hdo orange pads. Pics didn't come out good. Anyway I tried carpro essence, scholls s20 black and megs 205. The 205 did the best for swirl removal, essense looked the shiniest, scholls was pretty good with spiderwebs. Overall nothing was able to remove any scratches other than spiderwebbing. I switched to a MF light cut pad and used 205 with that and it worked very well but again didn't do much for even light scratches. I need either a more aggressive pad or compound. These are very light scratches from drying not deep into the color coat. Overall pretty disappointed with my trial.
Any good cutting pads or compounds? Or would just a pad change work out. Thanks

work your way up incrementally.....Menzerna Heavy Cut might be your friend here, along with a more aggressive microfiber pad. I'd try stepping up the pad first, then move up to a heavier cut compound too

I was just reading on the clear cut. I had really hoped a light duty polish would be enough. The question for me now is, do I really wanna get this far into it. Maybe I just use what I have and call it good enough. No one will notice these imperfections but I do.

A lot of it comes down to whatever makes you happy. I have some minor imperfections on my truck that I know are there, but no one else notices.

Sorry I haven’t been able to read all the post cuz a crying 1 month old... I’m wonder what would be the best all around “kit” for weekly to biweekly washes and some interior cleaning? Maybe some tire shine and some protection?

That is awesome Jim! I wish someone would bring me a car like that.its been a while since I’ve had a good project. Brilliant idea on using the caddy and grit guard to clean your pads. I’ll have to try that.

I have a big bottle I haven’t touched. I can split some into another bottle, no problem. You need five inch or six inch pads?
