i don't think i've ever seen a dealer use ceramic pro brand. last i knew you had to be certified to use their products and generally cost more. plus ceramic pro is usually pushing to do maintenances through them and all. every dealer i've seen use it has used some other brand, or even used a ceramic spray wax, and not true ceramic. just caught me off guard a bit.

I paid quite a bit for paint correction and 1 coat of ceramic. I really hope they used the good stuff. The lifetime package I am planning to get will set me back almost $1700

That seems typical. I reached out to someone that did ceramic pro coatings and for paint correction and 3 year coating was 2200 i believe on my 2017 a year or 2 ago.

After seeing the paint correction in action, you get what you pay for. My truck is 5 years old and people think it's been repainted.

Quick question from a newbie...I've had the truck for a few months. It sits outside all the time, so I would like to protect it a bit. I notice with all the rain that it gets water spots pretty easily. Right now I pressure wash, foam cannon, two bucket wash, and dry, but I'm looking for a good all around spray sealant/wax to finish and protect. Seems like people here like CarPro Reload, Turtle Wax ICE, and a couple others. What would be best all-around spray to give it some water beading and UV protection? Don't think I'm ready to mess with a paste wax and polisher or a ceramic coating. Am I hoping for too much from a spray, and I assume most of them you spray on, buff with a microfiber, then wipe off? Are they good to put on wheels and chrome, too?

Just make sure to do an iron remover and claybar first. You'd be surprised how much iron can be on a brand new truck.

Ceramic pro is great stuff. Just use the recommended products to maintain it. Glad to see they did it the right way.

Any recommendations for a product to use on trim and wheel wells that will last a while instead of just a few days?

Just started using BareBones from Chemical Guys. seems to be pretty nice. Their VRP has worked well on the black trim on my truck and car.

For trim....coat it...either with CeraKote or Cquartz Dlux. Wheel wells I was never too concerned about a long lasting shine......but I've used Stoners Trim Shine on mine. Griots Undercarriage Spray has lasted a little longer, but is pretty oily.

Cerakote. The absolute best product for trim and plastic and lasts a lot longer than it’s competitors. You just have to be careful and follow instructions perfectly or you’ll have issues.

DLux is also supposed to be really good but I’ve barely used it.

What is preferred to use to clean tires?

Been using grease lightning, but I am out. What works best? grease lightning has worked ok, nothing special so open to using something else if it works better

For cleaning tires, I've liked using Optimum power clean cut 4:1. Also have recently used Shine Supply's "Wise Guy" wheel n tire cleaner and it worked awesome as well.

Optimum Power Clean at 3:1 if pretty dirty, 5:1 if not so dirty. I've used it full strength if prepping the tire for a coating

I’m sure it’s been asked a million times, and search will result in a variety of responses but what are you all finding works the best in regards to MF interior cloths?

For general, light duty interior cleaning, I use the Costco (Kirkland) brand towels. They all get washed and the tags removed prior to use on a vehicle. I don;t use thm on nav screens, though. Got some seriously soft detail brushes for those.

Unless the quality has changed recently I find the Costco MF towels all around decent for everything. I do lightly wipe down the NAV screen w/ them. I always do the CD test to see if a MF is safe. Take a music CD and wipe it with the MF, if it doesn't scratch the CD, its safe IMO.
