I usually use Meguiars gold for soap, maybe I'll try a little bit with it next time.

So far, so good. It's super forgiving to use and seemingly holds up well.

    Its like
    Less than three molecules.

Joking aside this stuff is super concentrated. Most concentrated I've used is a cap per gallon (distilled water) but in a wash bucket its a cap per five gallons.

I think it's a cap full for 2 gallons if I recall. Since I already have reset in my bucket, I use one capfull for 4 gallons. The cap was literally the measuring device for the video the maker put out.

Not at all. Those were my usage ratios. I've seen people go higher concentration for internal detailing.

Honestly never heard of using ONR mixed in so I'll have to try it. Short of a deionized water system, especially in the hot sun, there's no way to avoid spotting if you aren't quick about it.

In the extreme hot/sun I will dry the vehicle and periodically lightly mist the rest of the vehicle with water as I go around playing catchup. Misted water spots are easier and typically buff out with a drying towel. Large puddles/drops of water are what cause the issues for me if I don't blow them off with a shop blower (I use a 18v Ryobi small blower) or keep it misted. Sounds silly to spray mist around the vehicle as you go but it works for me. Time consuming starting and stopping as you dry and working a bit backwards but like anything with detailing, the prep work determines the final result.

Well I'm an idiot so there's that. No real experience with those odor eliminators. I just use the pet odor eliminator stuff from Arm and Hammer and use the cup method with fans to get smells out if I don't use an ozone machine.

I do the "mist" thing but with the hose so it's more like a little light flooding. But what I mean is that ONR gives you additional working time and makes things much more forgiving. I didn't mean actually not rinsing and drying but I have nowhere to work except direct sunlight so I need to be able to operate with a little more time. I find adding the ONR helps with that. I don't end up with big water spots on one side while I'm working on the other.

So I ended up using SEM trim paint on some plastic motorcycle part. What can I use to coat it for uv protection? This part will be getting sun while riding.

Perfect. I have some but have never used it. Any tips / tricks? How long should I wait to coat? Painted this last night.

I also have shine supply trim shield and CarPro delux for trim.

Trim shield is good but won’t last that long. If you have dlux on hand I’d use that for now. Not really sure how long you should wait to let paint really cure I would probably recommend a few days with some of that time baked in the sun. Don’t over do it but an hour here or there should do the trick.

I wouldn’t apply it to my hood or doors but it does seem to do good on suspension parts and black painted trim pieces

I would test dlux or cerakote on the backside of panel just to make sure your good.

Thanks. I'll do a test spot first. I might paint something around the house that I'd plastic and test on that. These old motorcycle parts are hard to find and I don't want to mess them up.

Just did. Mixed it in the foam cannon at 10:1, and with roughly 22oz of mixture had enough to go around the entire truck. It works as advertised.....took care of the heavy lifting as far as road grime and some mud in the fender wells. As soon as Clean Garage gets some in, I'm ordering the newest snow foam pre-wash from Bilt Hamber called Touchless. Forensic Detailing channel on Youtube had a good review of it.

This may not be the best place for this 100% but...
Where does everyone get their detailing supplies? I've been using auto geek but it seems that their idea of shipping out the same day is 2 days later every time I order. Autopia seems to be about the same. I think they are the same company honestly.

That is exciting to hear! Make foaming great again! That Bilt Hamber Touchless was great vs the Koch Chemie, both were impressive. So many products coming to market....ugh!!

They ship same day if your order before 3 PM eastern time Monday - Friday. Could I pay less somewhere else? Probably, but they are top notch customer service. Means way more than 10% off to me. Good people.

    Also https://shinesupply.com/

Fast shipping and great customer service. TUNDRAS10 or TUNDRAS10 for 10% off.

They are both owned by Palm Beach Motoring Group. Autogeek is where I get most of my stuff, and have not had an issue with shipping. I'm way too cheap to pay full price, and since they have such frequent sales, they just work for me. I've also bought stuff from Detailed Image, who also runs frequent sales. Fortunately, I don't have to purchase too much any more, so I can shop around a lot when I do decide to buy.

There are a couple of videos out there comparing Auto Foam and Touchless.....almost seems like a dead heat between them. I keep trying to limit the detailing shelf to one product per application.....but it's not working out so well for me...I keep having to add shelves!!!
