I take no sides in the things I've read about. But some info to people here, both Talons and Classy have been stand up guys to me regarding my purchases. Last week I ordered a cat plate for my wife's 4Runner from Talons, it showed up 4 days later. In that time we placed a deposit on a Lexus and I asked him about returning the plate, Talons had no issues and was going to send me a return label, he got back to me very fast. The Lexus was sold out from under us so for now we are keeping the plate and her 4Runner. Classy with Valhalla has also been good here in the community and responds quickly to customers.

So take all of that as you will and don't judge them unless you were personally involved in the history and can vouch for what occurred. IMO

Well said. Any issues between them is not my problem. The only problem I’m trying to avoid is my cats getting stolen. I do t want to be without the truck because of back orders on cats, dealing with insurance or anything else. I’m looking for protection. There isn’t a single company that cares about my truck more than I do. So I would do what is best for me. I know people used/use classy and comes highly recommended. The problem is it’s weeks for the product plus I see people getting impatient. I know he is doing what he can ( or says so ) and also wanting to have a life and dealing with being sick. If I’m concerned and have to wait weeks or a month and paid for in advance, my cats get stolen, it is what it is. If I’m concerned I’m going to get what I can and fast. It’s no guarantee but just a great deterrent.

Thanks and I hear ya. I'm being patient although Classy mentioned back in mid December that my stuff was about to ship and it still hasn't. I know stuff happens and I can forgive it when people quickly respond to inquires. Good customer service goes a long way.

I agree about the customer service. Maybe I’m older and think that it has kinda gone by the waste side. I think that and someone’s word means something. Everyone’s situation is different. Some can wait and are ok with it. Some just want what everyone has/wants for the piece of mind. Some have to have it yesterday because these assholes taking something that isn’t theirs. The world we live in right now.

good luck when you get it and hope you’re safe until then. I know it will be worth the wait and a piece of mind as well

I made my statement in the avoid talons garage thread. From what I have noticed most people have already made their mind up about what the truth is. Since then I have mostly stayed away due to not being a vendor here.

I ship 95% of my products in 2-3 business days. I only offer 1/4” aluminum at this time and can do so for a very affordable price compared to other brands and what they offer in thickness and materials.

I have a few customers who have spoken up on here about their experience with me and they have not had issues. Outside of issues with lost/delayed/stolen packages I cannot think of many other issues I have had to deal with. I am sure I have several other customers on here who don’t speak up due to the mob mentality that has occurred on here when my company is brought up and wanting to cause drama.

There is a "Houston Tundras" facebook group in my area where a few vendors provide them same day. Might see if there's a similar group in your area.

Well I can speak for all three. Bought my Tundra cat plate from Classy, my sons Tacoma plate from Talons, and my daughters Prius plate from cat security. All 3 are good. The Tundra plate took 3 months, the Tacoma and Prius plate a week.

I literally installed my CCM Cat-Security yesterday.

I ordered mine from their website.

Even though they told me on the phone it might take 2 weeks to arrive, I ordered it on a Monday and it arrived on a Wednesday.

    TEXAS!

any pics of it installed? i have 1/2 my ccm cat security (the rear cat section) sitting in my foyer waiting on the other 1/2 (front plate) to arrive. in typical UPS logistical wisdom, they decided to deliver 1 box on friday, and make me wait until tomorrow for the other.

if the front plate actually arrives tomorrow, i plan on taking a vacation day for a tuesday install.

anything you learned / wish you would have done different during install?

did u go 1/8 or 3/16 for the main plate?

fwiw... i do have the DE plate already installed, but nervous as hell about my rear cats. i do realize that i could have ordered the rear plate from a member/vendor here, but i did not want to wait the 3-10 weeks to receive.

Are you not going to be using your DE plate? If not, you might be able to find someone locally to sell it to. It would help someone out and also help offset your cost of the new. Win win

I am not planning on stopping if I can help it. I looked into moving there and the reviews on the amount of crime were scary.

Here are some notes and thoughts on the cat-security system.

I just installed it tonight. I ordered them last Friday, they shipped last Monday and I received them today (Wed.) but I also paid for the 3 day shipping.

Install was a bit more than I expected and with assembly and install it took me 3 hours. I am a bit slow and I had to locate all my tools and crawl around back and forth on the garage floor.

The instructions were kinda lacking and you do need a bit of "how to sense" to figure out what they are trying to convey. They did want me to drill two holes for nut inserts so I was a bit disappointed as the website said no drill. I could have probably done without them but I did that part anyway.

You also need to be a bit of a contortionist (sp?) to reach over the cross member and rear cat to get the washer and nut on. I did mine without being on a lift or ramps so it did make it a bit more difficult and my angle of attack was limited.

If you ordered the rear cat protector it does go in last or you wont be able to reach the rear nut, or at least I didn't see a way how you could.

I wish the rear cat protector covered a little more but it should do its job.

This thing is pretty heavy (I ordered the thicker one) and it feels solid and it should do its job. I feel much better with it on there. It is heavy enough to act as a skid, but I would not want to give it too hard of a direct hit. I also like the vent holes in it. It is not 100% fool proof as I think someone with a punch, and reverse drill bits could take out the screws but nothing is 100%.

If the screws hold and don't loosen then I would give it a 8 out of 10 rating and recommend it. It is a bit pricey but really not much more than the other brands.

Oh, I also received some protected by cat-security window decals but I doubt I will use them. I really doubt that any low life cat-thief is going to see those and be deterred.
