Have two pairs of Oaks right now, always have one pair for work and one for personal wear. Have had my work Oakley’s for three years and have beaten the ever living shit out of them, replaced lenses twice. Will be buying a new pair once spring rolls around.

    PS love the Prizm lenses!

I have a pair of Maui's but they are in desperate need of replacement. The lenses have lost a lot of the finish. I've found that I take better care of sunglasses that cost more. :)

I’m not the only one I see. I’m partial to Maui Jim’s. I fly fish western rivers for 3/4 of the year and I have yet to find a lense for me that cut through the water better. I’ve had Costa and Smith in the past but always go back to Maui.
I also have a fair amount of Oakley’s and find the Prism Polarized lense pretty damn good as well.
It’s like guns to me. I know that I don’t need them all but I always find a reason to justify not selling them. :D

I can’t wear cheap shades. The difference in optical clarity to me is night and day.
I also don’t believe you get the same protection as far as UV etc. I need all I can get. Colorado can be brutal on your eyes.

You all have me looking at Smith and Maui now. Still wanting glass lenses as I tend to scratch plastic. Anyone have good sites to look through or know what time of year the name brands go on sale?

When I got my LASIK I promised myself I would never wear cheap gas station sunglasses. I have 5 pairs of Ray Bans. 4 Aviators in various tints and a pair of Wayfarers. All polarized so I can see the fishies in the water.

I have somewhere around 14 or 15 pairs of Oakleys. Some as old as 20 years (original Juliets & E-wires), that are really just wore out and beat up, but don't have it in me to get rid of any if them.
Luckily Oakley stopped making watches, because my sunglass addiction was turning into an Oakley watch addiction.

I've got some Randolf Engineering, Oakleys, Knockarounds.....I tend to wear whatever I grab....Oakley are prob my least favorite though. Knockarounds are good, polarized and VERY inexpensive.

Quit buying expensive glasses years ago. Too easy to lose or sit on or drop and scratch the lenses. Found some Polarized Safety glasses a while back, Crossfire, that Can't be beat for the price. They may not be "High Def" glasses but they work great for me, even for fishing. One or two pairs a year and I am good. :) Many sellers as well, even on Amazon.

Have several pair of Smith glasses, noticed smith have a tendency to stretch over time. Over all like Smith shades. I also have three pair of Oakley for mountain and road biking, that all I use them for. Earlier this Fall I was given a free pair of Kaenon Clarke sunglasses from the rep. They are hands down the best optics I have ever had. Glass is so crisp and clear. I would say the best shades I have ever owned. I would highly suggest a pair of Kaenon shades.

    Same here, Smith guides choice.

Also smith warranty is badass. The pair I had before, I sat on and broke. Put in a ticket to get them repaired and they said they no longer make them so they just gave me $300 in credit to use towards a new pair.

I hear the stuff coming out of those shades can travel up to 25 MPH. Luckily Oakley’s are impact resistant.

I’m surprisingly really good with shades. Lost my first pair last year landing a big rainbow. They didn’t have any rubber on sides. That now is critical for me as they stay put.

I’ll look into the 580 G. A few on heat seem to really like the lens.

Brad, it's the best lens they make. It's glass so it's heavier than your poly carbonate, but not a deal breaker in my opinion. You won't be disappointed, especially if you fish a lot
