Oh nice! I kinda like the raw look. Is that stainless? If so, I'd be tempted to just leave it bare!

No, it’s carbon. It’d be a massive rust bloom in a week.

Without some black to break it up, I can’t picture color matched on the whole thing looking good. But I’m seriously thinking about color matching the side panels and the top tread.

That's what I meant, sorry wasn't more clear, color match in similar way the oe bumper, I've thought about ADD front bumper with black in middle then body color on the sides.

It’s powder coated and sitting in my garage. I’ve been slammed at work and home, and am doing some traveling. I’m hoping next weekend…

I put the new CBI rear bumper on a 2018 Tundra. Be aware right up front that the bumper pictured on their website is not the bumper you will get. You will get a bumper like this that has been modified to accommodate a swing arm. That means there will be a plate on each end of the bumper held on by four bolts, and a notch cut into each side of the bumper, none of which is pictured on their webpage. The notch will have a poorly fitting, poorly finished piece of plastic screwed into it. See picture below.

When I contacted CBI about this they said, "This was the design and finish that we finalized and do not have current plans to change it."

I decided it looked better without the plastic piece in the notch, so I just took it out. It looks better, but not great.

Aside from this notch issue and CBIs lack of concern about it, the bumper is solid, has an overall good appearance and the BSM (Blind Spot Monitoring) and RCTA (Rear Cross Traffic Alert) do work on this bumper.

I expected to be a lot happier about this bumper than I am. As it is, it's good enough, but not as good as I hoped, especially given it has a $2000 price tag.

I feel similarly about my experience with their front bumper :anonymous:

Here's another picture of the CBI rear bumper. I didn't mention in my first post that they only sent 4 hex bolts for the swing arm mount cover plate, when 8 are needed, 4 on each side. You can see the two empty holes on the cover. I'm still waiting for the other 4 bolts. On the very end of the bumper you can see the cover for the BSM/RTCA sensor. You can also see how odd the plastic piece looks in the notch that is used to install a swing arm. There is a camper tie down underneath the bumper that is not part of the bumper.

    I was kidding
After looking at the map, the detour on the way to T2S would’ve been too
