Of course...I understand...I should have been more clear...I have the original non-PNP "hard wired" version...I had the PNP version on my Silverado and that is exactly what I did (pulled the plug out)...was interested in anyone installing a switch for the non-PNP version...

Gotcha... sorry can't help you there. Perhaps one of the others who installed the non PnP version can chime in.

So, I finally installed the Lux Monster lights for my AMP Powersteps. Definitely a huge step up from the cheap lights that come with the AMP steps. I love that they are sealed in acrylic and are attached by magnets.

Nice! Had I found these before I ordered rock lights, I might have gone this route.

Yes, that is the company. They actually make them with 3 levels of brightness:

    • mico MAX
    • MAX
    • Monster

You're link is to the mid level ones, the MAX. Those are the ones that I ordered first, but since they make these in-house, they were waiting for some supplies to make another batch. So, they upgraded my order to the Monster lights which are brighter.

Yes, they simply attach by magnet and a strong one at that. No 3M tape or holes to drill. I am very pleased with these.

When the AMP OEM cheaper ones on mine go, I may look at these!

Finally got around to installing the rock lights in place of the amp ones. Huge difference

Any recommendations for a good professional install shop for the Amp power steps in the Los Angeles area? I just don't have the time or desire to tackle the project myself. I went to Amp's website and looked for local dealers, but the few that I looked at had some questionable reviews online.
