What’s the benefit of getting everything separate and having the unlocked Maestro versus getting the all in one kit with the locked Maestro? What’s the difference and what would the locked Maestro prohibit you from doing? Stereo stuff is like another language to me so I’m leaning towards the all in one kit.

I'm not sure which features are locked down by the TND version, but recommend calling Alpine and asking.

For me, I like saving a few bucks and am one of those guys that enjoys doing the technical things that I can do myself. There is much more that I can't do. Right now Amazon is charging $900 for the Halo9-F309 and about $200 for the remaining parts. They are changing $1500 fort the ready to install TND. Below is a copy of all parts necessary to install as I ordered them from Amazon. I didn't order the satellite radio antenna, as I don't use it. That would be another $50 or $60.Screen Shot 2020-03-07 at 8.31.48 AM.jpg Screen Shot 2020-03-07 at 8.33.15 AM.jpg Screen Shot 2020-03-07 at 8.32.22 AM.jpg and

Crutchfield has the TND version right now Open Box not used for $1200. If that were still an option when I were going to purchase I would probably go that route.

There was one on their website. I haven’t looked to see if there is one on eBay.

There is no built in navigation in this unit.

Has anyone figured out how to have a front camera in addition to the rear without buying the 300 dollar alpine adapter and proprietary cameras?

I had concerns about lack of built-in navigation and travel through some pretty remote areas. Waze has worked better than any built-in navigation system that I have ever used. I've had system 6 months now, and love it.

    Question Guys!!!
I've had this unit installed for just over a year and for the life of me can't get the auto dim function to work properly. I sent the unit back to Alpine and they sent me a new one.....and I still can't get it to work.
Anyone else have issues with this feature??
