Got a Silencerco octane and hybrid from Capitol Armory. Got in on their buy one get one free deal. First one was paper filed and second was e-filed. First one took 13-14mo and second one took 9mo. I’ve only run the hybrid on my 45.70 and it’s easy to shoot without muffs but it’s still got a loud crack.

There are dozens of places on the internet.
    Just Google "suppressor research"
    Youtube videos also.

    Or Reddit.
    https://www.reddit.com/r/NFA/

For your predator your are going to need a .556 can, but a .30 cal can will work and will be more versatile if it gets switched between rifles.
Your rifle's barrel will need to be threaded.

There are plenty of placing on the web and YouTube, I just didn't know how reliable the info was on them so came looking here for some help from trusted people. Don't bash me for this but what the hell is reddit haha

I got the threaded barrels on a couple of my rifles already, but didn't know you could use a .30 cal can on smaller calibers. This is good to know!! That means I wouldn't have to buy two of them if I chose to use one on my big game rifle. Thanks

Just know that when using a larger than required can on a smaller caliber, the can generally is not as efficient in sound suppression w/the smaller calibers. The .30 cal can is the perfect example of this as most folks will use a .30 cal can for 7.62, 308, 5.56, 223, etc.. and while it does a decent job of suppressing each of these calibers, it's performance is not as good as a can that is dedicated to a smaller range of calibers

Also very good to know, thanks for the info! Looks like I got some reading to do and some questions to ask myself.

I had looked into Silencer Central. I decided not to buy from them after getting multiple cold calls and unsolicited emails from a salesman who was more of a used car salesman saying "we have this and this sale going, but you have to buy today or tomorrow because I am going on vacation". Very pushy, and provided information that was directly contradictory to what their website said.
I ended up just buying from Silencer Shop and using a kiosk at my LGS. It was cheaper too.
I now have a Gemtech Integra 15-22 which is stupid quiet using standard velocity 22lr, a YHM Turbo T2 for my 10.5 sbr, and a SilencerCo Hybrid 46m for the other rifles except the 50 Beowulf.
    20230826_135446.jpg
I'm still needing to get an integral for my sbr CZ Scorpion Evo3 S1, but that thing is expensive.

2nd this for easy purchases and generally good pricing through Silencer Shop; plus once you've done your photos and prints through a Kiosk, you can just keep using your account and same info for future purchases online or at their dealers w/o too much trouble. Photo is only good for a year, but you can upload a current one online when you want to make another purchase, and as long as you're using a Silencer Shop 'powered' FFL, there are no shipping or transfer fees involved in the transactions....

Another vote for Silencer Shop. They make it super easy and their site has a lot of good info and videos explaining things.

As stated, a larger can than the caliber you are suppressing will always work, but just not as efficiently. It won't matter for a high velocity round like the 22-250. Any caliber that is supersonic will still have a crack.
The larger can will cover more rifle calibers. Hence, better spent money for the first time out. If you buy more suppressors, and you probably will, you will pick different models and brands. Don't get hung up on the lowest decibel rating for your first can. Just get a decent one. Sales are good.
As a newbie to these, go talk up your local NFA gun store.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    My experience...

on a 5.56...the Db difference between a 22 caliber can & a 30 Caliber can is negligible, at best.

and suppressors on a pistol are goofy. they change the shooting balance so much, its laughable.

I use the Omega 300 for everything .308 & smaller. 1 can. I put the quick release attachment on all my rifles.

    I'm lazy that way.

and...and...I got one of those battery powered barrel coolers. cools the barrel & can in minutes.

    life is good.

I went to my local gun shop to chit chat, they are a silencer shop dealer with a kiosk. Long story short, got a good price/1st responder discount so I pulled the trigger (pun definitely intended). Now the hopefully short 9 months passes quickly!

Thanks to everyone's help and advice! Love this place...

I recommend making a purchase every 3-6 months; this way you're never waiting too long for the next one to arrive :D

    Congrats...

My last NFA purchase was also just released from jail at the end of last week; it only spent 128 days in lockdown :D

It seems the ATF may be processing the Electronic Form 4s a bit quicker now, and hopefully they are heading toward their original goal of processing the e-forms within 90 days or less
