I did the air vent rings Bc the chrome shines in my eyes with the sun, and the v2 shifter knob love it!! Would like the cup holder surround but don’t feel comfortable disassembling my 2020

The disassembling is super easy. Probably one of the easiest mods you’ll ever do. Plus several great YouTube videos take it step by step.

Did mine and very pleased with the outcome.

I had my old shifter from my 07 Tundra so I’ve been using it. I used the same gray

This is a bummer to hear. That’s what my shifter trim is like, the plastic seems soft.

Just ran into this same issue. Let me know if you come across a fix. Also, did the cap for the lower ride side come with your kit? I didn't receive one and just have a hole there right now.

No. And I didn’t know it until I installed it. That would have been nice to know when I ordered the kit. They have the blank kit on their website for 4 bucks. You don’t have to take it apart again to put the blank in. It snaps right in.

Just wrapping up a big round of AJT mods here. I really had no idea how much I didn't care for Toyota's chrome and gray interior color palette. The hard lines of the AJT stuff just makes for a far manlier feel inside. The steering wheel trim looks great. I've never used plastidip but that chrome Toyota logo has got to go...

You need to find a way to cover that chrome steering wheel emblem. AJT used to sell them but got a cease and desist from Toyota

Sweeet! I just ordered a set. I currently have a cheep tacky looking fake carbon fiber over those steering wheel grey parts. These look a lot better with great fitment .

Is the push start button tough? I have it and the radio/climate knobs yet to install from the blackout kit I bought. Already did the steering wheel, console, vent rings and door handle covers. Thanks.

Push button should take you 20min max. The panel pops out solely with no other dash disassembly. The only semi challenging thing is getting the push button out. But using a small flat head and slow prying techniques, it comes out easily.

There are “stick ons” on Amazon for about $90.

But the 2 large silver pieces around the radio, well thats all one piece. Have to practically take the whole dash apart, im not down for that. Lol!

I may just get the stick on’s and call it a day.

AND i dont plan on changing my knobs out, i actually like those

I changed out the knobs but agree not down for whole dash assembly.

if AJT comes out with some stick pms like the vent rings I might bite. But not sure $90 is worth it from someone I don’t trust. Now, if you want to try then hell yea let me know how they work and post up some pics!

Im going to hold out a little longer and see if AJT does some stick ons(or full assembly)

AJT makes some really good stuff and I have all of them, but these steering wheel trim pieces are a huge disappointment IMO. Not all of us have the button on the right piece and he makes a plug for that spot, thing is, I think it looks horrible. IMO, he should make the trim pieces with or without that switch hole. Looks like I am going to have to find a newer model Tacoma or something in a junk yard after all.

It doesn’t look awful from the pictures but I have that button and don’t need the cover. Has anyone reached out to AJT and asked whether or not it was possible for him to make that integrated into one piece? Might not be cost effective for him but worth a shot

I used Plasti dip because I like the gray color and it’s such a simple mod to do. Plus the satisfaction of doing it myself and I had numerous other pieces I did at the same time.

After I did the last coat of dip I then sprayed 5-6 coats of rust oleum matte clear enamel. Just to really harden the dip and get a little more added protection. Total cost was right around $10 for this mod and about a dozen other pieces I dipped.
