Sure that's how they come from the factory then. I'd like to see what they look like a bit wider though....

Full disclaimer I know nothing about these units specifically but is it possible that is intentional to not blind oncoming cars and give you the most light possible on the lane you are in?

Well the "step down" is 100% intended to not blind on coming cars but my point is the step down from both lights should not be that close together it should have a wider spread

I was showing you through PMs, but these headlights are adjustable! You can widen the beam pattern yourself with a screwdriver with the adjustment on the rear of the housing. :) Widen them however far apart you would like!

I am going to attempt aiming this weekend. I didn’t realize the step down thing was necessary! Any pre recommendations for horizontal swath width? As a reference starting point? I usually set my auto leveling adjuster to 2.5, right in the middle. Thanks!

When I purchased and installed mine about 2 years ago the cab dial to raise and lower the beam based on your load worked the opposite of what it is supposed to. There is another thread on here discussing this issue. Morimoto was going to address and fix this issue and notify customers when replacements were available. I never heard a word from them or HR. I am assuming the problem still exists. You just have to be aware of it if you use this adjustment. More passengers/load use a lower number.

this isn’t a prob. I have the v2 that recently came out. I was asking about the step down and swath adjustment.
