This is a long one. About a month ago I bought an 02 Tundra SR5. I dig the truck alot and I took it to get new fluids in to start fresh. I eventually went to a Toyota Dealer and got the lower ball joints replaced (as I did not see them being replaced mentioned in its history) to assure I was getting OEM. This was a Saturday. About 4 days later (Wednesday) I got new tires. 2 days after that, (Fri) I noticed that my truck would pull to the right everytime I stepped on the brakes. Next day, I took it to a shop I normally go to. They tell me it looks like it could be the tire rod and I approve the repair. About an hour or two later, they tell me upon further inspection the issue is actually the right lower ball joint and that it looks to be a defective part. I tell them I got it done at a Toyota Dealership and they advise me to take it back to see if they can check it out and get it replaced. It's now been 4 days since then, Toyota has called me back saying that the joint seems to be intact and shows no issues but that my brake fluid is extremely dirty and after a flush still is dirty and has affected my brake master cylinder. I feel a bit sceptacle about that and just overall feel concern as I know how catastrophic of a fail the Lower ball Joints can be if defective or neglected. Just feels like I'm getting alot of different opinions left and right and would appreciate if anyone knows anything regarding all this. Could the braked fluid and Master cylinder be the problem with the pulling or should I still have concern over the Ball Joints despite being assured the are okay. Thank you.

It pulls to the right everytime you stop on the brakes, but doesn't pull that way when regularly driving correct?

I'm thinking you have a warped brake rotor that needs replacing. Had the same issue in the past on a tacoma and that fixed it for me.

Please read the whole gen 1 bible sticky. Obviously you already have good handle on the lbjs since you went oem

best advice, since you’re already on your second opinion, is to google around and see if there’s an independent Toyota speciality shop in your area that ONLY work on Toyotas. They’re pretty common in larger metro areas. Get a third opinion from there.

my guess with a pull under braking scenario is something in your brake system is amiss, seized caliper or otherwise. You should probably get a brake fluid flush regardless.
