does any one know why Toyota deleted the A pillar handle on the drivers side...it seems the 2014 model had it but from 2015, it was deleted. Does anyone know if the 2014 handle would fit on the 2015 model?

    Thanks in advance!

2014 does not have it. 2013 may have been the last year. I vaguely remember seeing threads dedicated to this ~ 3-5 years ago, when the change first happened....

Any number of reasons they could have removed it...maybe they just interviewed tall people with lowered trucks that aren't concerned about driver seat wear.

Its a cheap and VERY easy mod. The only thing my wife required as part of the truck purchase...well that and running boards.

I seem to recall that the reason may have been given as a safety concern for the driver hitting it in an accident. But, that wouldn't explain why Toyota kept the passenger side. Plus, the air bags deploying would probably keep the safety thing from being an issue. Personally, I think it was a bean counter, sitting in a corner somewhere with a green visor on his/her head, that figured out they could save money by deleting it. And, make money by selling them as mods.
