Same issues on 2017 Tundra Platinum. Vibrating starts around 70mph and when letting off the gas only it is the worst. Dealer verified. Replaced drive shaft with no benefit. Escalating to field service specialist.

I had a spare set of tires and tried that with no luck. Of course all tires ballanced with road performance method.

I had some pretty rough steering wheel vibration for a couple weeks or so. I think it was me hitting a curb and throwing out my alignment a little bit (gotta love the fat girl on 37s).

actually just took the truck in to get its service (tire rotation, oil change, ect) and wheel shake is gone. Smooth as ice. id have them start there. but Im definitely not a mechanic.

Do you guys have the rear TRD sway bar? I think that adds to the bounce

I bought a set of comforcer tires. I had them installed but the jack wagons put them on wrong. They were directional. Took it to Gateway and they said my tires were warped. I said "what", never heard of it. Then they showed me what the original installer had done.

I had a pretty good shake at 70ish and when I was at my Toyota dealer they did the quick alignment check in the receiving area and everything checked out in spec. I paid for the actual alignment check/adjustment on the rack, and it was way out. The "alignment guy" adjusted it, and it has been great ever since. I had to press them and convince them to let me spend my money on the full meal deal. Ha!

Tried 3 local dealers. 2 wouldn't diagnose the issue, the third ran some tests and wanted to escalate and had no time frame. Traded it in the next day. I wasn't going to buy new tires. Truck wasn't right so I moved on. Have wanted a TRD PRO ever since and sometimes think about getting a 2020 but cant stomach the thought of the same issues. Might look into a Trail Boss instead.

This is exactly the kind of thread I hope Toyota corporate is reading. Customer was neglected to the point that he dumped the vehicle and is considering another manufacturer.

Sorry for your bad luck OP.

I had an alignment issue on a brand new '17. Would constantly pull hard right. Always fighting the steering wheel.. Dealer repeatedly brush it off until I got Toyota North America corporate involved... You wouldn't believe the instant change in attitude.. I was getting call after call from the dealer, always checking up on me. They drove out 40 minutes to pick up my truck AND dropped off a loaner. Finally fixed the problem.

Another '17 brand new tundra I test drove at the time had the said vibration at 70.

Just have to say u wanna talk to the general manager. Toyota is cracking down on fixed right the first time. If there’s a problem that isn’t fixed 3 times then it could potentially be the dealer buying back the truck...

Get your wheels checked - your tires may be ok but if you had hit a pothole, then none of your wheel balancing will work.

Next time you buy a truck take it out on the highway and test out the truck at highway speeds. That would have saved you on the vibration issue. Trail Boss has transmission issues. I have read several complaints on their transmission so I would do a thorough test drive on that one.

Ext Warranty that Chevy! Personally I prefer the look of Sierras over Chevy's front end though. If I ever go back to GM, i'll be getting GMC.

New member here. This post made me create an account. I see that multiple people are having the same issue. I picked up a 19' tundra TSS off road 4x4 brand new off the lot last month and have had this same issue since the day I bought it. Currently have 1400 miles on the truck and the steering wheel shake is driving me nuts. Stock truck with nitrogen @ 40 psi in the tires (275 55r20) Took it to the dealer and all they did was rebalance the tires and send me on my way without the stem caps even. On the way home the shake was even worse. Haven't had a chance to get it back to the dealership. Thinking one of the tires may be out of round. (Goodyear Duratracs) please keep this thread going and if anything ends up working for someone let us know. Thanks everyone!

    To many
when buying my wifes new car we did not even look at toyota for how they treated me. ended up with a subaru crosstrek.
look up "east coast toyota and help me howard".
I went to toyota corp and got no where as well. i have the same problem on my 2014 sr. i have 2 of them. toyota lost me for ever!
as did ford! moving on to the next brands
all dealerships are pretty crappy now a days. i have not found one in 20 years that does the right thing. i am not brand loyal. i am service loyal and end up fixing all my own stuff now. to bad many people do not know they are being scammed by these dealerships. Look up " help me howard and east coast toyota"
they crashed my truck and denied it!!!!!
    video does not lie

Trailboss is junk! After reading about the rushed 2019 and the changes for 2020 and then 2021 something just isn't right with GM. Not going there at all. Ford sucks all around. I need a truck and have no clue what to do??

Question, I have seen on some websites that they make a bed stiffing bracket. Is this what you were talking about by a “bed rack?” Or is it like a ladder type rack? Thanks.

my CM sport slightly vibrates sometimes on certain roads with light pulsating feel to the body/steering wheel but not all the time, speeds of 50-60, but not on all roads, maybe the road has something to do with it. I know cause my wife's 2019 Subaru Ascent on the same road doesn't bounce. LOL

My 2015 does this as well.
It did it stock, and it does it after a lift with new wheels and tires. Does it with and without swaybar as well.
I thought at first it was the roads here, but sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesn’t on the same stretch of road.
I get it around 45-55mph and again at 70+.

Bed bounce is caused by the angle of the shocks and the frame mounts its a failed design IMHO

You don't have very many options left... Titan Pro4x? Frontier? Through test drive on another Tundra, Tacoma? Low mile private party deal? Gladiator?

I had a slight pull to the right, 3 alignments with the dealer and they always said it was in spec. Took it to a local shop who has a great reputation and they got it right. Yeah I could have kept going to the dealer and fighting with them or just "Call the Man" and have it done right.

Almost all tundra's at least 2014 and newer need this. Search it, try it yourself. It is highly exaggerated with any lift due to drivers side drive shaft angle. Get under your truck, grab the drivers side inner CV and see how much it moves up and down.....
