My 2016 Tundra TRD PRO had the same thing but was a 3 out of 10 (10 being just awful) vibration/shake and now my 2017 TRD PRO has a 10/10 vibration that is so bad I cant drive above 70. Took it to dealer and they couldn't figure out why it's doing that and even stated that it's "possibly normal". I have a test drive with a mechanic on tuesday to review how this could be somewhat normal but betting that he will draw the same bullshit conlcusion. Great truck but this ongoing issues is really frustrating day in and day out. Any thoughts, ideas? I really don't want to buy something to make it better. Just want it to be the way it is without the wobble/shake/vibration etc. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks

    Oh one or two.
I'm thinking alignment or tire balance. is it the steering wheel that has the wobble?

Rear end wobbles how? when I think wobble I think of the steering wheel shaking back and fourth.

    Are you getting bed bounce?

If it's a brand new 2017 truck this should be under warranty at any Cerified Toyota Dealer. If the current dealership isn't taking care if you go to Toyota corporate or another Toyota service center. It's like the old saying "the squeaky wheel gets the grease".
If your truck is shaking under braking then it's probably rotors. If it's just shaking under higher speeds then it's possibly alignment, tires out of balance or something else. Hope you get someone who takes care of you.

All Tundras have bed bounce on rough concrete high ways. I found changing the rear shocks, shackles leaf spring bushings as well as installing a full bed rack nearly took care of all the bed bounce. adding the TRD sway bar brought a little back.

Honestly the bed rack helped the most helping the bed from flexing making the suspension work more. I've also noticed after ive put nearly 25,000 miles on it l. As the leaf Springs brake in the bed bounce is less and less.

@Cohiba262 , you didn't say, is the truck completely stock? Tires, wheels, suspension? If anything is modified it could be a factor plus, unless installed by the dealer, they may not be responsible at all.

My bet would be either a bad tire (broken tire cord), way off balance (doubt it if it is as bad as your claiming). You can use your spare tire and swap out every tire with the spare to find a bad tire/ bad balanced wheel.

Other more technical areas to check is:

Brake caliper sticking? After a drive, is one brake more hot than the others? You should be able to feel the radiating heat to get a guess on which one it is over the others or use a thermal gun.

Bent axle: doubt this, but it can happen. When I used to take possession of vehicles from a transporter when I worked for Toyota, I seen things that made my head shake.

Bad bearing hub. If you have the know how and tools, checking run out is rather easy. This can be overlooked very easily since it is a new truck.

Loose lug nuts. Seen it happen before.

    Absolutely not "normal" or acceptable.
The pro ride is one of the smoothest riding trucks on the road. Bed bounce, though, can get em all, depending on the road.
Hopefully you get fair and prompt treatment!

All bets are off if he lives in CA and is on Highway 99. That road going south to LA about made my teeth fall out.

I had a '14 Silverado, and put new XD wheels and KO2 tires. Between 72-76 mph my bed would bounce like crazy. Changed the tires a couple times, still did it. They said it could possibly be the wheels. At that point I was done and returned it all. Put factory wheels back on with new tires and no bounce.

That being said, I'd force them to put new wheels on it or like someone else said, use the spare to rotate around. It's probably a bad wheel.

There are sections on the 60 and 605 in LA that are laughably bad as well.

Obviously you haven't driven the new Barcelona Red TRD Pro. They are the fastest/smoothest variant of all the pros.

OP stay on them and they will fix it.
