A simple press of a button will put it back to stock boost levels and you are good to go. I do this all the time when I cant get any E85 and have to run a milder map...otherwise its Map 5 for me :burnrubber:

So on a separate note, I haven’t dove into all the details really yet. But I can run strait up e85 with this on map 5, without any flex fuel sensor installed or whatever the sensor is called?

Can't run e85...the stock fuel system seems to support upto E50. Beyond that, it starts running out of capacity...until actual tuning and bigger injectors are available, E50 is probably the max. No real point in going that high either since oem timing tables are likely optimized upto a certain octane rating below E85s rating. E50 is about 100oct, iirc.

Nieve to the E gas world. How would I go about getting e30 or e50 just mixing regular with e?

You'd have to mix your own blend at the pump. Lots of E85 mixing apps out there. I used E85 Blend before I got the ethanol sensor.

Just saw all your other posts on the flex fuel kit posts. Did you get the $459 kit or just a sensor? That looks pretty legit. I’d love to be able to run e50

If the speedo bugs you so much, take it to someone that has techstream and have them fix it

Correct. The only way to correct the speedo & odo readouts is via an intercept box. Unless something has changed dramatically on cluster from the 2.5 Gen to 3rd Gen that I'm not aware of.

Again...not a major chap in the ol' a$$. Just something I'd like to fix one day.

Edit to clarify: When I say odo readout, I'm not talking about falsifying mileage or something. lol. The odo is already wrong for anyone with big tires. I just know the more & longer I drive...the more "off" it becomes. With my tire size, the difference is ~250 miles every 5,000 miles on the odo. At my pace, the odo will be off by about ~1300-~1500 miles at the end of my first year of ownership. :)

Several new cars we've owned in the past had speedos that read slightly higher than actual speed.

If your speedo is 6% fast, than the mileage portion of your warranty is up 6% sooner.

Our newer cars don't seem to be so bad with speedo error

Yeah not sure why people want the speedo fixed so badly. My 37's are 13.8% larger so I effectively get 13.8% more out of my warranty mileage lol

Hahaha. That's a very good point. Just use the GPS speedo on your iPhone to know how fast you're driving. :)

Or just follow the flow of traffic most times. After driving for about 5k miles on 37's I have a pretty rough idea of how fast I'm going. I've done some calculations at various common speeds.

Hard to do for me. I had 40s on my Jeep and I always break the speed limit on empty highways on long roadtrips when I forget the speedo is slower than the actual speed.

Color me wrong then lol. I assumed it was because several other vehicles can be programmed for larger tires via OBD2

JB4 by Burger Motorsports is finally installed on the 2022 Toyota Tundra. It was really easy to install the unit and connecting my iPhone to the tuner was flawless.

I’m using 93 Octane gas and per the JB4 app’s recommendation, I should be using MAP 0 through MAP 3. I think I’ll be toggling between MAP 1 (+3.5 PSI of boost) and MAP 3 (+5 PSI of boost) most of the time.

I drove around with MAP 0 and doing a few launches. The Tundra is a pretty fast truck with its twin snail 3.5L V6 motor.

I then switched to MAP 1 and I felt a noticeable difference in acceleration and engine responsiveness. My initial impression was…”this tuner is totally worth the money.”

Then I selected MAP 3 on the JB4 app and I switched the Tundra’s drive mode to SPORT. Holy shit balls!!! My Tundra transformed into that one mean AF asshole uncle that everyone has who woke up one morning with a bad attitude. Launching the Tundra from standstill to 60 mph was a blast! Tires spinning at launch, tachometer reaching redline in a hurry, and my half ton truck charging hard to the next stop light. Ohhhh Emmm Geeee. The JB4 tuner made my Tundra so much fun to drive.

I wonder if MAP 5 is okay to use with its +6.5 PSI of boost on 93 octane…

I’m going to have to get some run times and dyno numbers in the near future.

I don't think they go on sale. The best place to buy them at is on their website. Don't forget to buy the connection kit for your Smartphone.

That would be nice over 500 HP and 600 Ft lb torque. Know of anyone that has it on Hybrid?

Think I will wait for a few guinea pigs.

I was looking into the JB4 and not sure if it’s worth it. They don’t provide a lot of intel on the product and kept their dyno video very short, not sure why. Anyways, they claim up to 60hp on pump gas and publish a dyno run with 50hp gain. I’m guessing they made several runs and the was the absolute best. So how do we get 60hp?

Hopefully someone does some real world testing to compare. Some 0-60 runs to see the improvement over stock.

With a price tag of $678 with the WiFi connector it’s a bit pricey.

Also, if its not changing any mapping within the ECU and is just tell it to dump in some more boost, why would you need a higher octane? Does the higher compression need higher octane?

I'm not sure where you can get 50hp to the wheels for under $700. With that said, I'll have to disagree with your statement about the product not worth the price.

HP measurements depend on the month, time of day, ambient air temp, etc., when dyno runs are done. I'll eventually do a dyno run on mine to compare MAP 0 and MAP 2 on 93 Octane gas. In the meantime I'll do 0-60 comparison between MAP 0 and MAP 2 to find out what kind of improvement one can expect over stock.
