I think I’m going to wait. JB4 said they’re coming out with an updated tune for hybrids. I’d like to try that when it comes out.

Did they say when they plan to release the new update for hybrids?

If you go to their website they have an option to order one for hybrids but it says “beta” next to it …

Good... I don't even use their original maps anymore, makes the truck drive like dogshit. Really expensive gauges at this point...

I just updated and checked my app. The “new” hybrid version is not available. Has anyone purchased one recently to confirm what firmware is loaded if hybrid is selected?

Good to know I think I had no holes plugged and my car would go into safety mode and a lot of lights would turn on.

how many holes did you plug?

I was part of their r&d. No issues once you figure out how many holes you need to plug. I've seen guys say they have no problems with no plugs, others like me only leave one vent open on each plate.

So to clarify? The tuner does work in the same way as a throttle controller? Or do I need both to get rid of the throttle lag?

I use my JB4 with the Beta firmware. The Beta firmware give you the option to make the throttle response linear.

I absolutely love it. No throttle commander needed.

The JB4 device rolls out firmware updates. Currently they offer the original firmware and the beta firmware.

The bata firmware gives you give you the ability to changes maps on the fly using your driving mode. For example you can designate eco mode for normal driving, normal mod for map 1 ( which is for 91 octane) and sport mod for (map 2 for e30).

in the options menu it also gives you an option to make your throttle response liner.
In the customization tab you simply keep scrolling to the bottom the customize those features.

If you want some extra grunt, you can add about 5 to 6 gallons of E85 and run maps 2 or 3. It’ll get you to about E30.

Here is a calculator I use to figure out percentage ratios.

You can still run maps 2-3 with just 93, although it will run a little better on 93+E85 mix

I just mix e40 at the pump and run map 5. If you've got android, download E85 Blend app. Most california pumps are E10 and pump E85 is E80. Knowing this, plus having the BMS E85 sensor makes mixing super easy.
