I wouldn’t say very common but definitely more common than it probably should be, being a known issue. It would just suck if it happens out of warranty because it’s an expensive repair. I can’t believe the miles you put on your truck. You really should go for the second million mile Tundra.

"Premium" stereo that is actually premium. Better headlights on the pre-2018, my wife's RX350's put them to absolute shame. Less interior rattles.

Thanks for info, I'm just about out of my extended warranty which was a waste of money. If that happens I'll probably end up trying to do it myself. Not because the cost but the truck would be down and I wouldn't have anything to do lol.
I can't believe it either I didn't think I'd be at 111k already. I was originally going for 200k or totalled. But at 111k the truck drives just like it did new so might as well go to 300k before I look for a new one. I wouldn't want to see this truck at a million miles. I'm sure it would run fine but it would look pretty beat up as it is a work truck.

Negative. They may call it premium sound in the platinum but I can assure you it is not.

For the amount of tundras I see and the amount of them I do under warranty, I agree not common but known. Very meticulous repair, 95% of the ones I have done are covered by warranty or extended. But I have not done or seen any cam towers leak on 2015 or newer tundras, they made a lot of changes to how the seal packing is applied during assembly.

Crewmax with a 6.5' bed (or even 6').
Passenger power seat on ALL trims (not an upgrade)...it's ridiculous this isn't standard.
    Better headlights
    Better audio

    That's about it for me.

I suppose at this point I'm doing 73k a year.
That's good. My truck has been used hard for every mile. It tows 4 to 5 times a week. Only thing I see comming up for mine is some brakes.

Forgot one more. Drivers side door handle. I dislike steps but was reconsidering them before I ordered a handle from Roman.

I used to do the trip thing but it always rolls over. One thing I wish the tundra had was an hour meter then I'd get to know how long I've left the poor thing running for.

Yeah it just has the "trip" time but resets once turned off. I use both yep thingys....one that is reset at each fill up and one to see how much i drive a month. I haven't reset the one i usually do the monthly with just because i wanted to see how much driving i have done since i bought it until the end of the year

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
IMO we have the best ride truck out! Anything I wish was a little different/better, I can/will mod. Hell....just since joining this crew, I've found all kinds of new ideas that made me think, "....you know, I don't like that either....I guess I'll change mine since now I know there's options and mods." o_O

@SuperSilverTundra, @4x4_Angel, @Stumpjumper, @AlexWV Regarding the back seat, check this out (start at 2:50). I recently added this to my mod list.

I personally really didn’t like the 3rd gen Tundra trucks when they first came out.

Now, after being out since 2014, seeing a few built white Tundra’s up close, I now like them better than my old 2nd gen.

Mileage would be nice- i average 45k a year, mostly towing

Longer bed on crew max, even an extra 6inches would be helpful

Better stereo, I have a platinum and my girlfriends sr5 4Runner sounds light years better

Better interior storage- current set up sucks

More USB plugs and a dedicated 110 plug

Interior chrome and paint- cheap and reflects sunlight into my eyes, solved by wrapping some pieces. Paint is cheap and scratches on interior plastic

Exterior paint blows, but every new vehicle has this

I don't care for that box. there is one that is made for under the rear seat that goes in the floor....and imho looks better and more like it belongs. i know a few guys have them. what i am looking for i want to go under either the drivers seat or the passanger seat. i found one for the jeep.....but nothing else
