I messaged Wilwood a couple weeks back and they will fit my Method 703’s that are 17” +35 with a 1” spacer. So I’d imagine 18” and up on wheels will be fine

Have you noticed a reduction in the range of your FOB? I read that some noticed they had to be pretty close to the truck to lock/unlock it. Others have also expressed frustration with a delay in the front map lights turning on when you open the door? Have you noticed these things?

Can you elaborate on this "tucking" procedure??

I had a full bedrug in my 2015 TRD PRO, I had no issues with it at all for the 10yrs I drove that truck.

I really miss having one in my new truck but hadn't found a clean way to deal with the lights and outlets until your post.

I thought about getting just the XLT version that covered the tailgate and bed, but imagine getting all kinds of junk under the rug.

Thanks for any info you can share!

    Absolutely.

The rug comes with outlines on the backside for you to cut out the holes for the 2 bed lights and the power outlet. I didn't want to do that, so I removed the majority of the outlined area instead. The lights simply pop out via a tab and the power plug has those 4 screws you see in the pic. I disconnected them and then slid them back into the cut out hole I had made in the rug. This gave me a rough idea of where the pieces would cover the rug. I then pulled the pieces out and CAREFULLY removed the foam backing all around and a little beyond the area.

The foam backing is what gets in the way of tucking the carpet behind these pieces. By removing it with a box cutter, it leaves you with the thin carpet material which doesn't get in the way as much. It took a lot of trial and error but I was able to do it. The bed lights were the problem, not the power plug. Foam cuts really easily with a fresh blade...doesn't take much effort, just time.

If I didn't have two car seats in the back, I'd be all over this.

Looks as though you needed to remove the lower (chrome) front grill section to add the light bar. I'm trying to remove mine to install lights and can not get it lose. how did it go for you?

Typically for the behind-the-grille lightbars, you remove the whole front grille assy and mount to the crash bar. I haven’t seen a lightbar kit that you’d have to remove that valence for, but I did remove that valence when swapping grilles and when I swapped fog lights. Use plastic trim pry tools to pop it out from the middle / around the fog lights, but it has giant tabs that go into the lower part of the mustache so it can be a pain to remove and remount. What lights are you trying to install?

I'm trying to install Fog lights that go behind the valence.
I have a 1794 with a factory 3" lift. They delete the fog lights with the factory lift. I went with an Amber set that I can aim down a bit for use in snow storms and such.
I've yanked on the Chrome valence like there is no tomorrow and gave it a fair bit of encouragement with a interior pry tool as well - no luck.
I'm thinking there is some easy trick/angle/something that once I figure out will allow the valence to come off.

I was jacking with mine earlier this week. You really have to pop on the center. I started at the bottom and eventually got it out. And the screws on the fog lights seemed like they were put in with blue locktite.

As a retailer of all things truck accessory, I have dozens of bed cover options at my disposal.
    This is the cover that I chose to install on my '25 Platinum;

    Agricover / Access - LOMAX
    Hard folding tonno cover

    - Very low profile, strong, light weight, single layer of heavy gauge aluminum. (vs thin panels over styrofoam).
This eliminates the possibility of the cover absorbing water and becoming waterlogged and heavy (like some popular brands).
    - Seal / gasket is on the underside, pinched between the cover and bed rail, not stuck on top where it is exposed to UV rays.
The hidden compressed gasket not only looks better than seeing rubber around the entire perimeter of the cover,
it also provides a better seal, and it is much less likely to shrink or peel off since it is being pinched in place.
    - Durable Urethane / Spray liner style finish.
    - Easy to install. No drilling. No drain tubes. Easy to remove in seconds without tools.
    * Ask me questions if you want more info.

Some notable features/improvements over the MX4, which I just bought last month. What's this one cost? Thanks for sharing

The Access Lomax is retailing for about $1100-$1500.
The Access Stance has the fold up vertical option (like your MX4) to eliminate the need to remove the cover for full bed access.
I prefer the Lomax and just take the cover off to still have my rear visibility.

As a retailer myself, obviously I'd prefer people buy from a brick and mortar but they can be had directly from Agricover online.
Please consider the advantages of using a local auto / truck accessory dealer.
    Yes, you will pay a premium, just like buying dinner at a restaurant vs a grocery store;
    Local dealer support provides solutions for;
    - optional installation
    - shipping damage
    - missing components
    - defective product
    - product boxed incorrectly (wrong size)
    - future warranty issues
    - supports local economy

I have this same bed cover - I purchased it through WeatherTech. It's called the Tundra Alloy Cover. This thing is awesome, very low profile, basically water tight, sturdy, and easy to operate. Looks great. I did my research and determined it is much more premium than better known competitors like Backflip.

As someone who is in the biz and knows a lot more than I do, I feel vindicated that you chose the same one. Thanks for sharing.

I have a 25 TRD off-road 4x4 in Terra. It came with the white and black bedside decals. I don’t like the contrasting white. I’d like to replace them with the red and black bedside decals. I believe they would blend better with the Terra color and match the black rims with red TRD center caps. I found 2 OEM decals online. The description said light decal and a dark decal. No pictures available. Does anyone know if the dark version is the red and black decal?

    Two questions.

do the oem rails work with this? I have the older model of mx4 and don’t want to lose that.

does the elevate t slot rails work with it?

    Good questions...
Guessing you're speaking of the Toyota utility track system...
Yes, the mounting clamps utilize the OE Utility Track system. You must order the cover for WITH OE UTILITY TRAC to get the proper clamps that work with the track system.
It's very tight but there is just enough room for the OE tie downs to fit. See photos #3 and #4 above (sorry, my phone camera sucks). The adjustment position of the OE sliding tie down is limited to the space between each clamp. Seems they would work fine in the front track without any limitations but I haven't tried them there.

No, the Elevate T-Slot rails do not work with this as far as I know ...
But if you are in need of a rack system, Agricover makes their own.
    https://www.agricover.com/adarac/pro/
The Adarac PRO has a straight leg that allows for the solid folding cover to be opened.
Don't make the mistake of installing a rack with a leg that tapers in ... as the last panel of the cover will hit the leg and not be able to be opened.

I am trying to do the same as you and have had no luck. (1794 w/ 3" TRD lift) I pulled the lower valence and side caps off as well to get better access to it. I can get the bottom started and pulled away but cannot get the top to let go for the lift of me. I wanted to avoid pulling the whole front end off if possible, but am thinking I will have to pull it all off. Have you had any luck? The videos online sure make it look easy...

lower valence is a pita... you can get it off without removing the bumper, I looked at bottom clips and took my time on top clips. I will probably take front clip off next time I have anything to do there. no help just a heads up. :)

yup, gotta get under the truck, undo the clips and then yank it out. Wont go back in unless u nip 2 tabs off, one on each side. At least I couldnt get it on with those darn tabs...but its been fine with the other 20 million clips holding it on

Thanks gents. I was more worried about breaking multiple pieces with how hard I was pulling on the fog light cover. I did get under the truck and pull the tabs away from the anchors on the lower portion but could not physically reach enough of the upper clips to make any progress. Sounds like the smart money is on full front clip removal if it is that much of a PITA. Cheers.

The Lomax looks like a decent cover. Can it hold a human walking on it? I know the diamondback can and prefer something I can walk on.

you’re a dealer, but where are you located? Sorry if I missed that.

I have the LOMAX since June 2024, awesome cover. Can be used with OE rail system and OE tie-downs. Bought it from RealTruck through the rep on this site. Paid less than 900$ delivered.

Can a person walk on it? That depends. A 60 lbs person can for sure but a 300 lbs person => hmm, probably not
