    What’s wrong with stock?
I used a composite decking board from Home Depot. Cut to size as per the manual.

That is really nice @PapaDave418 - well done. Curious, how much does it weigh? Is it SS or AL?

The sliders are beefy and weigh about 65lbs or so alone. The whole thing is aluminum with stainless hardware and I would say maybe weighs 90lbs all in. It’s not hard to remove or put in other than it’s a little cumbersome with the size. That said I do take it out often and it’s easy to do.

Stole some great ideas from this thread!
I used two 1x6 Trex boards, secured with straps on the backside and added some blocking at 6* angle on the butt ends to fit snuggly in the slots. Sprayed the back with bed liner paint- you cannot paint Trex finished edges.

Added the E-track and rings/mounting straps (got all this from Harbor Freight for under $50).

Ordered a couple kayak handles to attach as it is a little awkward to lift in/out.

Cheap storage bin until I decide on a pelican case(s).

I'm thinking about this bed extender. I was hoping that someone may have purchased on the board here to give me their take on it. The Toyota version is double the price. I would love to know if it is a smarter choice from the dealer.

I was thinking of cutting boards, and when looking at the groove slots, I see they are V shaped. How flipping stupid is that? What is Toyota thinking?

I can't comment on the bed extender, but if you go DIY route with boards, it's quite easy to cut them to fit in slots. You can find the lengths in the manual or earlier in this thread. As for the V-shape- the back of each slot is 90 degrees, the front is 84 degrees from the bed floor. If you look at the close-up I took above, you can see what I did to get a tight fit. A couple of extra cuts.

Just bought a 2x10 pressure treated and had them cut it to 63inches after I trim it down a tad bit and paint it I’ll update with photos but not sure if I will be adding any tie down points to the board may add some hooks for the grocery getter lol but I am going to drill a couple holes out for weight reduction and to act as a grab handle for ease of use - will snap a picture when I’m all said and done. Thanks for the great ideas I’ve been looking for something and the board was the best idea yet

Adding the E-track is a genius idea. I never would have thought of that. I have plans to make a divider when it gets nice outside out, and I will definitely be adding that to it.

That first one is the idea is an idea that I thought of a few months ago. Pretty good design. I'm not surprised someone beat me to that design.

I HATE clicking into these threads as it inevitably costs me money! LOL

This one looks interesting to me as I could adjust along the stock rail mount. I also like the idea of the bed slide too. Dang it more money! ;-)

I think it's Slide Master. Also the lightest. I'm trying to figure out how to mount one. Slide Master will put mounting points where you want them. I'd like to use the cross members under the bed as a mounting location but it's been a challenge. I'll post it and when I have the solution.

Look on Facebook marketplace and buy an OEM. I picked one up a week old for $150. The dealer had it as a mandatory option and the seller put in drawers so didn’t need it.

Have you received this yet? I like it, but I would not get it with the speakers. I am not pleased with how my swing boxes have held up. I have the Toyota factory hard cover which I believe is a Bak flip and it looks like there is good access. This looks like a good unit and it’s a pretty good price if you’re-order , but I am always a little hesitant to pre order something no one has seen yet.

This is pretty good. I have been brainstorming for two weeks now about how to bolt two 30" wide, 10" tall truck tool boxes to the back, bulkhead, bed rail to accomplish the same purpose. I haven't been able to find any accessories that will assist in hanging and supporting the tool boxes and have just resigned to the idea of building a 2x6 bench for them to sit on, bolted to the bedrail, and bolted end to end to create the rigidity and hopefully eliminate rattling. This product could be a good aftermarket solution but I'd prefer it to sit higher and have lids to keep dust out. But the ease of factory mounting could be a worthy trade-off. Just need to see this product in action by users. Their website looks like there's a significant backorder or delivery lead time.

I'm sure this is a lame question but what is "TT". I'm having trouble finding this storage but it's exactly what I'm looking for.

$150 for a generic brand on Amazon for both sides of the bed. I just hook my groceries with carabiners to the molle panel. Modded it to work with my hard trifold tonneau.

I used a dremel/cutoff wheel to allow the retaining hardware to fit along the top. The picture shows the three retaining hooks. Pretty simple install and extremely convenient when you don’t want the cab to smell like food lol
