Why is it so expensive? It's like $2.30 here.

:eek2: $3.35 a gallon at Cosco this morning in my wife’s car. I think I paid $3.58 a gallon for premium at Costco on Friday. Still bullshit.

Good chance the “gas tax” will get repealed tomorrow. We’ll see how long it takes for lower prices to hit the pumps.

Read this thread and next day warning light came on. Ran about another 20 miles before getting to gas station. Pumped 32 gallons and handle clicked off. But then wanted make sure it was topped off continued pumping. Could not squeeze handle fully, would just click off before spilling out. Then took my time and only squeezed partially so it would not overflow and pumped another three gallons. Tried this same method two more times and got close to three gallons each time after initial shut off. Some tanks may not be venting properly and pumps are shutting off early with room left in tank.

Careful doing that. You can ruin your charcoal canister. I’m surprised you got 3 gallons to get in there. Maybe you need to check for any obstructions on the vent up to the filler cap.

Shit I do it at half way Mark! Lol fill up time. I don't like shelling out $100 bucks when I can save money and do it for half. Lol I'm kidding about saving money but yeah I've always never let out go below half. Especially in the West coast where gad isn't 2.60 a gallon!

First fill up 2 weeks after the truck purchase. Love the larger tank.

    369 miles, 31.6 gallons
    11.6 mpg on the truck
    Calculates to 11.67 mpg

I went to just beyond the 0 miles remaining. Still had 6.4 gallons or 74.24 miles till completely empty. Assume the truck would cut out before that though.

For the 2nd time in 3 years I have been hanging out in Big Bend N.P. and the whole region gets hit with a power outage. The first time it was 3 days before power came back on and the nearest Gas Station that had power was 40 miles beyond my actual empty tank range. That happened again this weekend; but this time for only several hours.
My new philosophy - ALWAYS have enough gas to get a 100 miles from your current location. #HaveAPlan

Haha funny. I fill mine up when it hits a half of a tank. Psychologically it makes me feel like I’m getting better gas mileage.

I can go 84 miles after my low fuel light comes one but not 85 miles. I then can get 37.4 gallons in the truck. I will not be testing this again.
