Around $75 a shock give or take and shipping
That's to rebuild idk what it would cost for a single coilover at toytec of if they sell singles

You're a four wheel parts guy, what would you recommend? I know y'all don't sell Toytec lifts, but what suspension would you recommend?

And if anyone is looking for shocks just search eBay and other sites regularly don't get in a hurry.

I got fox 2.5s coilovers with remote resi's
And 2.0 remote resi's rear shocks for 1050$ shipped on eBay. The rears had roughly 200 miles on them. So it pays off to be patient

I'd say in this order, Bilstein 5100 all the way around. Next i'd move up to the 6112/5160 Bilstein, then Fox 2.0 coilover and 2.0 rear shock. Anything outside of that and you're gonna be in 2.5 coilover/shock body territory needing upper arms!

Now if you want my personal preference, i'd do a fox 2.0 coilover and 2.0 resi rear. It might seem like a waste to do a resi in the rear but with excessive rebound / compression even with daily street driving that rear shock is going to get hot which in turn loses it viscosity then your rear gets mushy. $850 on the front end on coilovers and $250 in the rear and you've got a heck of nice suspension. Just weigh your options but don't compromise the comfort and ruggedness of your truck.

I don't do much off-road, but I definitely don't want to do anything that would make it where I couldn't take it off road if I needed to. Definitely don't want to compromise quality. I just want to figure out what's the best I can get figured out to put on my truck that will be an improvement over what I have now.

Is this what you're talking about? No upper arms or anything needed for this? And it would at least be able to level out my truck?

I think it wont let me see your cart.

Keep in mind if you do the 6112 you'll need a upper arm. You dont have to go crazy with a Uniball style, just do a Total Chaos or Camburg ball joint style. Reason being is the 6112 is a 2.5 body vs the 5100 which is a 2.0 body. What will happen is this: Going with the 5100 at mid setting is going to put you at 1.85+ lift give or take. This will keep some rake in the front for towing. You can put the 5100 rear shock in and the ride comfort will be balanced. If you do the top setting, you'll be around 2.50+ lift give or take a "little bit". If you max out the fronts id highly encourage a shackle of some sort in the rear around 3/4in -1in or you'll be front end high. 6112 requires you to spend a little more due to the need of the upper arms and possibly a larger shackle like the Camburg 1 3/4in shackle. I have no experience with the Coachbuilder units but they seem great on first glance.

I have the fox 2.0 performance series coilovers and the performance 2.0 shocks for the rear. If I went with a setup like that, would I be able to lift the entire truck and keep the rake in the back? Roughly a 1.5" lift all the way around? Or maybe a 2" in the front just to reduce the rake a bit.

Out the box the Fox will generally sit level for you front to back and you wont need to do anything in the rear except bolt in the shocks. Do you want some rake still in the truck? If so, put the front at max level (2-2.25in) and throw a add a leaf or shackle in the rear since that shock will accommodate up to 1.5in of height increase.

Just the front will be raised. In order to raise the rear you need a shackle, leaf, or block

I have the 6112/5160 setup. UCA's are not needed. I lifted mine 1.9" in the front which is identical to the TRD Pro which has the same UCA as all the other Tundras.

So basically just straight out of the box, I can bolt these on, level the truck, and improve the ride without doing or buying anything else?

It kind of sounds like that may be my best option. Truck would be level. Improved ride. Ability to rebuild the shocks if needed.

I may get some flak for this, but I would for sure go for the 6112 over the Fox 2.0 The 6112 has a 2.65" body and the Fox has 2".

So you like the greater adjustability? You have pretty good luck out of your shocks?

Im stationed in the desert and so I am off the road quite a bit. No rock crawling or anything like that, but most of the roads where I live are dirt and not well maintained. I chose the 6112/5160 setup because it is arguably the most shock for the money.
As far as adjustability, 6112's are "adjustable", but it requires taking the coil off to adjust the height, so in reality you adjust it for how high you want it before the install and then never touch it again.
They are a great setup, but may be overkill if you dont plan on going off road much.

Here is a picture of a 6112 next to a 5100. The 5100 is the same diameter as a Fox 2.0. The size difference, and the amount of oil, is pretty obvious.
Now, if you wanted to spend more $ and go with a set of 2.5" King's or Fox's, then I would immediately choose those over the 6112's. Like I said through, this is all personal preference. I spent WEEKS researching ever option under the sun before I got my setup. It works best for me, but it wont work best for everyone.

The 6112s are great for the money but are they rebuildable? Also they come with a 600lb spring where fox I believe is 700lb

That's what I'm after now. Just trying to weigh my options. I've got a 33" tire on my truck which is all I want. So I'm not trying to lift to fit anything. I'm just making improvements.

Not sure on the rebuildable part. That is a con if that is something that you want/need. They do carry a lifetime warranty, but I also have no idea how loyal they are to those.
For me the 600 pound spring was a good thing because Im not running a aftermarket bumper or anything like that.

Either way, there is no bad choice between all the options you've discussed. Im not a pro by any means. If you really want to talk to the experts, @sdhq_offroad will probably be willing to give you more information than I possibly could.

The 6112 is can be serviced but Bilstein takes forever! Lol. You can bolt on the factory arm with it but it's recommend to use a aftermarket arm for proper alignment and maximum travel (and less stress on the ball joint ) which I why I install them on customer builds. Every truck is used different despite what the customer says what they are and aren't going to do with it. Plus, why deal with going back in the fender well to perform that upgrade when you can tackle it all at the same time. The toytec, 5100, and 6112 are all basically the same function. But to be more cost effective id say go with 5100 all the way around which is a little over $300 parts only. And you won't need to change the upper arm. You'll enjoy the ride and depending on where you buy them they generally will take care of your warranty worries. I've always swapped them out if they leak on a customer. I like having happy people that will always come back for the next upgrade.
