I randomly found a guy on here with a new set in the box. he sold his truck before he added them. You might want to get the bumper shims. the rub wasnt that bad but it sounded like the truck would explode in reverse at full lock lol

I figured I'd need the bumper shims at boss4x4. I have the RCI skid plate so shouldn't be an issue there.

Based on my reading through this thread, most people look at to have at least a 1.5" lift with the 295-70-18's? I have to assume they'd rub at stock height?

There are a few folks that have or do run them on unlifted trucks. There are some pics on Tundras site, probably in the wheel/tire forum.

mine were fine on stock shocks until i added a couple inches to the front (2 weeks but not a daily driver) the rub is on the bottom of the body as long as you have the right offset or spacers for stock wheels. i didnt really hammer it at all but it never bottomed out.

Just installed Falken Wildpeak 295/70r18 and Method MR316 18x9 +18s on my truck. I bought it used with a collar-based levelling kit. Left front lightly rubs the bumper liner.

Curious to hear everyone's input. I'm looking for something that does well in rain/snow but also something that has a smooth/quiet ride on the HWY.

    I'm currently kicking around either:

    - Cooper AT3 XLT

    - Nitto Ridge Grappler

Anyone have a preference on these two tires or is there another tire that may be better?

I think a lot of guys who ran the RGs loved them until about 30k and they got loud and traction deteriorated quickly.

yet to hear that about the Coop Disco’s.

Disco is a lighter tire and looks good. RG is heavier, but probably looks better if you’re into the aggressive look. Discos will take you down plenty of camp/hunting trails in just about anything but deep slop mud. I’d imagine the RGs would fair slightly better in that scenario.
    Good luck!

That’s awesome! I also have a 9 year old red female as well. May need to trade pictures at some point. Dobermans are my first love with dogs.

Went with 295 NRGs. Here are the before and after pics. No spacers, but did remove the front mud flaps.

I'm planning to get those tires next. What size are they? How do they ride so far?

Just the front little flap attached to the bumper. Only while turning in reverse though. You can easily remove it.

I am debating between the 295/70r18 and the 285/70r18 on my trd off road with a leveling kit. Does anyone have experience offroading with the 295? Does it rub under flex? I plan on aftermarket 18x9 wheels with +18 to +20 offset. Thanks!

My TRD OR has just the leveling kit. With 18x9 +18mm wheels, the tires rubbed on the front bumper liner. I took the easy way out and removed it. I have yet to go offroad, other than driving over some tree roots at a local park. :)

Just put my set on, actually. Had some rubbing in the front on my 2022 but just took the two front flaps off & all is good now. That was with a +18 offset.

Will have a 1.75 inch leveling kit on Monday, though.

No BMC needed as long as your alignment is decent.

Great looking trucks! My tires weren’t taken care of the first half of their life. Nitto Ridge Grapplers are cracking in between treads too. Wondering what I should get next price wise. Also has anyone had problems getting alignment correct?
