    I know what you mean. I almost smashed my monitor every time I was sitting at my pc and they sold out before I could enter my credit card info.

    I had toyo on my last truck and loved it but lost about 3mi/gal since they are heavy af.

    Prolly going with 285/70/18.

    I strongly considered it. The biggest problem is the lack of variety in that size. I think the Ridge Grappler is the only AT tire in that size.

    I drive a lot for work too...we didn't buy the tundra for gas mileage so who cares right? It will cost you in the neighborhood of $30 a week going to a bigger than stock tire in gas at your rate...but the big tires look soo good. I think the 285 is a good option and if you get them on and they look too skinny get some wheel spacers and you will be set. Dont have too many mi the RG's but sound great on the highway so far 295's

    Those dimensions are generic specs from Tiresize.com not the actual dimensions of a Nitto RG. Identical tire sizes from different manufacturers have differences in measurements. Nitto lists the 285/75 as 35.08" tall and 11.26" wide. You're probably going to have some rub issues

    I would run the 285/70/18. That tire is still big enough to look good, but it's light enough. Your mpg range may stay in the 14's depending on how you drive, but I would lean more towards the 13's at best.

    285’s if your heart is set on driving those miles in the Tundra. I did 295 NRG’s and Methods, took a nice hit on mpg. I’m going 285’s next.

    If you want it to stick out more to create the illusion of width, get spacers (what she said).

    I ended up getting 285/70/18 rg. but Nvlendy was right, it sure looks little skinny to me. Other than that I’m happy with result. Rides are pretty awesome and quite compare to stt pro that I had on my previous truck. Just little rub on skid on full lock and that’s about it. Didn’t have to take anything off.

    What level specs? I'm in the same boat as you were and I'm curious how the 285 70 18 ridge grapplers will look with my 6112s on the highest setting.

    FN BFG's, I had to wait like 3 months to get them, they make a batch and they sell out quick. Got mine from @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc check them out, they were great to deal with and were actually a few bucks cheaper than getting them direct from FN.

    I went with the Toyo Xtreme ta2 295/70/18 thinking is was gonna be a 34+ inch tire but when I measured to see how tall it was it only measured 33 inches height not what I expected, still looks good.

    @Dzamorano71

    Yes i am aware of the height of a 295/70/18

    But height is only a portion of the equation. A 35x12.5 is much heavier than a 295/70 and the extra width further increases rolling resistance.

    2014 Tundra SR5 4X4 Double Cab. Just got a 3" Rough Country Front Spacer Lift/Leveling Kit running 295/70/R18 Yoko Geolander M/T's. Couldn't be happier with it; I'm 6'4" tall and the hood comes up to my nips. Girlfriend complains that it's too tall for her to get in (I refuse to run running boards or bars) and they are the best compliments I could ever have. Only slightly rubs when turning ALL of the way left or right. I can already tell the decrease in gas mileage though haha. Below are before/after photos.
