I just got 4 year 11 months months out of a Toyota OEM Battery, 53k, and that's in Phoenix where they tend to go every 2 a 2 1/2 years. Replaced it with the same. On that warrant where do we find that, dealer charged me for a full boat new battery.

    Flux capacitor!
How does Odessey compare to a Optima battery? I've been contemplating on replacing mine before I do my stereo.

Apparenlty really well. The owner runs it himself and loves it.

I still have the stock one. I think it's a good time to change it out.

    Question for you guys:

I bought my 2016 last year (June) used and had about 30k miles on it when I got it. I haven't put that many miles on it since I had another car to drive at the time. My truck still has under 31k. The car I was driving I gave to my daughter and now have been driving my Tundra for over 2 months now. I drove my truck last Thursday and pulled it in the garage. Didn't drive it for 3 days. When I went to start it this morning---dead battery. I left it on the charger for about 20 mins and it started right up. I drive my truck 15 miles to work hoping that would charge up my battery enough that it would start after work. Well got off work and again dead battery. Had a co-worker jump start me and put it on the charger tonight and now says it 100% charged. I am wondering could there be something pulling charge from my battery? I did upgrade my headlights to the 2018 LEDs but wouldn't think that would pull a charge? Do you think it could be a bad battery? If so would that battery be under warranty if I switched out headlights? Also I have a phone charger plugged in at all times but obviously not a phone...could that be the problem? Really lost as to what could be causing this all of a sudden??? If it is the battery I might just buy a new one vs. putting another crappy stock one back in.

Should be. I haven’t had any issues and it’s got plenty of cranking amps in it.

To be honest dealer batteries are junk because they sit on a pallet in warehouse then get shipped to dealer and all dealer batteries are made by interm state .......best batteries out there that don't use recycled chemicals is DIE HARD. ........or the OPTIMUMS

    None, yet....
YouTube a parasitic draw test to check if something is pulling amperage while the truck is off. You can buy a cheapo harbor freight DVOM and use it to check this. If parasitic draw check out, you probably have a cell doing down.

So much wrong with this statement...

I don't use my truck to commute (unless it's bad weather) and notice if she's isn't started at least every 10-days or so the battery is weaker when starting. With all the electronics these days in vehicles there probably is a small draw on the battery, even when parked.

Remember when Interstate made the best batteries? Not anymore....

Let me know what you find, I pulled mine at about 70,000 km and replaced it with an aftermarket one, now I am almost at 140,000 and this one is starting to die. It gave up on me during the Christmas cold snap and has struggling ever since. It was recommended to me that if your battery dies to get it home once boosted and put a solid charge on it with a battery charger to save your alternator working overtime the next few times you drive. Anyone else do this?

Since when? I replaced mine at around 2 1/2 years / 50k miles and they said it wasn't covered. They did say that the new more expensive "upgraded" battery that they put in has an 8 year warranty though.

Weird. My dealership told me 8 years.

I can’t say I would put another factory battery in though. Not worth a tow or call to AAA for a jump since most people do not carry cables (I wouldn’t jump anyone anyway due to the possibility of them destroying my system)

I work at dealer and I see brand new cars always get new batteries put on.......the manager always refers them to other locations when the same issue keeps happening because our batteries seem to only last about 2 yrs

8 year warranty? That's quite a warranty for a battery.
