I have the 8” screen. That sucks they keep pushing everyone’s delivery date. I feel like it’s going to get worse, especially with the new Sequoia releasing later this year. I read an article before I even got my truck, that said they’re expected to be 18 months behind in production.

Yeah i'm not getting my hopes up thats for sure. Too many factors. Every auto manfufacturer is in the same boat. Chips, other parts shortage, shortage of trained workers (people getting sick) transporting of incoming parts and finished vehicles and working the bugs out of this new launch.

Anyone have any good recommendations on lug nuts and/or know the size for the 2022?

14x1.5 lug sizes I have yet to find et threads but it also all depends on what kind of rims you have. If they are conical or mag seating and so forth so make sure they are acceptable with your rims you get most manufacturers will sell lugs for their rims and “seating”

    Thanks! Good info.

Planning on going with black Method 316’s (18x9, 18mm offset) for my Army Green when it lands. Love the low weight of those wheels, there’s some better looking options but really can’t beat the weight.

For tires I’m either going to go 35x12.5x18 or maybe 305/70r18 for something slightly slimmer after a Westcott lift (3” front, 1” rear). A little worried about trying to put a 35” spare tire under the truck, has anyone had experience with this? Will it fit, and will it actually fit well? I can’t imagine everyone’s putting 35’s on without a spare but I haven’t seen anyone post to confirm it yet.

So on the tires, I was in the same boat as you. I wanted to do 35x12.5/18 with the Westcott lift because I think that’s the best looking setup I’ve seen. But I also wanted to shave some sizing so the setup is actually functional. I ended up finding that the falken wildpeak at3w’s in 295/70/18 are 34.25x12 after inflation which I think will be perfect clearance! And I imagine it will also provide proper clearance for the spare. Plus that 1/4” difference saved me about 120 bucks a tire compared to 35x12.5/18.

What is that Westcott spacer lift going to run?

I have been looking at those same wheels for that same reason (Gloss Titanium for my MGM CrewMax)

…I even considered going down to the 17x8 to shave another 4 lbs off each wheel but I would like to reuse my current 295/70/18 Trailblade that I have on stock rims so it’s a decision I need to make as I would rather not buy rims AND tires.

The 17’s are +25 offset though…not sure if those will be too tucked

Nice, the titanium color would look awesome on MGM. I mean the +25 would be less positive than the stock right?

I see your point there…Yes it would.

I will do some measurements but as I think about it now I am inclined to pull the trigger on that setup.

Need to look at wheel width also, a +25 on a 9" wheel will poke more than +25 on an 8" wheel

When you’re playing with width and offset, that’s when backspacing comes into play. The setup bigjuice is talking about wouldnt be tucked. Just based on other setups that people have ran. I’d like to see it though

I just called Method Wheels to get clarification on lug size as they sent me 12x1.5 extended... They confirmed that this is the correct set - not 14x1.5. I guess we'll see when my truck finally gets here... Whenever it gets here...

The lugs are 14x1.5 on the 2022 not 12x1.5. I just put wheels on and had to get 14x1.5 after the 12s didn’t fit.

I’ve read so many posts with the same testament… I find it odd that the method rep was so adamantly positive that it was the 12 extended. I think I’m just gonna order a set of 14’s too and then return the set that doesn’t fit.

Ya it’s absolutely not 12mm lol. They’re probably just sticking to the info they have. Top lug is a 12mm. Bottom is the stock 14mm. upload_2022-1-31_21-14-36.jpg

Ordered a set of Method MR310 Con6 in Bronze 18x9 last night. Going on my Midnight Black SR5 which should be here end of this month. Believe it or not walmart.com had them in stock for 30% off, couldn't pass up the deal. Now to order some "correct" lugs. Lol.

Anyone run balance beads ? I have in the past and never seemed to have any problems. I’m just a bit nervous if I run 17’s with wheel weights they may come in contact with the caliper. Just some food for thought.

In my experience about seven years ago the balance beads tear up the inside of the tire (inner liner). Maybe I’m thinking of the sandbags you can buy, it’s been so long I can’t fully remember. I’m sure someone with actual experience now days will have a much better opinion. Maybe some of that technology has changed. Because of that past experience I had with a couple of customers that were adamant on using them I’ve never tried them personally.

I wondered aloud about this (on another thread perhaps) on running 17’s with such little caliper clearance.

Is this something I need to worry about should I run 17’s
1- Tire shop put wheel weights in an area that doesn’t have best clearance?

2- Rock getting caught in between that same area (I drive/park on a fair share of gravel /unimproved roads)

I’ve only ran 18’s before on my 2015 but like 17s for a variety of reasons with weight being the biggest one…so asking those who may know more on running this setup.

pretty sure clearance is the same as the prior gen and there are TONS of us running 17’s with no issues. One of my favorite places to fish is 20 miles of dirt/ gravel roads each way, I haul ass in there going 40-60mph a shit ton of times a year and never have had any gravel issues

Well done! That's impressive for a 34" tire.
Do you know the weight of the stock setup?
