If you trust what a dealer says to you, you must be a very gullible person..
There is post after post on either late deliveries or deliveries that never happened.
A lot of promises broken with nothing but excuses.
    Typical car salesman bullsh!t.
Dealers don't have a clue to when the 2021s will come in, more or less the 2022s..

I trust my dealer since the guy is a friend, and working in supply chain what he tells me matches up with what we see in terms of shipment of parts.

A few useful post in this thread should help guide your choice - but to simplify here are some key take aways:

    - I option for a DC ‘22 Pro - no one knows 22 prices - but obviously a ‘22 CM will cost more than a 21 DC.

    - 22 may not be available for several weeks/months and it may cost ALOT more - wouldn’t be surprised to see a 5-10% increase in comparable pricing from 21-22.

    - 22 is not available WITHOUT the hybrid tech engine…if you like it, great - if not it’s a big negative to some.

Looks are a personal choice - but clearly 21 is the last chance at a Pro in a DC configuration for the foreseeable future. If that’s what you want - it’s now or never for new.

Here in sac California I wanted a windchill white pearl couldn't find it for my life available. Pros were easier to come by but also wanted the parking radar for my wife, they were no where to be found months later one shows up the lunar rock pro is 70,000 no add ons. Pros are 15k over and sr5 and up are 5k-10k over. My mgm limited is 5k over got it at msrp with a bakflip in the deal. There's a 20 pro with 13k miles for 69k on the lot right now.

I don't know. Will be in the minority here but I would wait for the 2022.

The mileage boost would be a huge +. I owned a first production year 2007 and probably had a couple of small things the dealer took care of (not big enough issues for me to remember). So I would have no problem getting a first year production '22 Tundra.

I too had a 07 SR5 only issue I ran into was the damn bed bounce on the Ca highways.

Not trying to crash this thread, but also not trying to start my own post with a similar question.

New member, longtime lurker. Looking to buy my first tundra. Not buying out of need. What I want is a 21 TRD Pro CM in MGM or LR.

I’m in Northern VA. I’m not finding anything for MSRP anywhere on the east coast. Dealers in the DMV are asking 10-20k over. This trend extends up north through PA, NJ and beyond. Best I’ve found is a 5k market adjustment a couple hours drive from my location. Lowest I’ve found is 2.5k over in NC, but it has options added that I don’t want really want to pay for. Each come out about the same. Out the door.

Finding a pro at MSRP is anything but easy. I’ve called, emailed and texted dozens of dealers. I’m willing to dry or even fly, but I’m not finding a dealer worth the effort.

Thanks, I’ve inquired with this dealership already. They have one on the way that is spoken for. I’ve asked the sales manager to let me know when they get another allocation.

Prestige Toyota in North Jersey just had a CM LR Pro advertised at $13k over sticker and it sold almost immediately.

Jesus. I bought mine 4 hours north for MSRP. Can’t believe people are paying that. Imagine the mods you could do with 13k!

My favorite is when I ask for a TRD Pro and they say they are sorry because they don’t have any. Then they proceed to ask me if I’d be interested in any other trims. LOL. I mean seriously is there another trim. I had some guy try to sell me a root beer 2017 Limited. Do these people even understand their customers or their products? Obviously, I’m joking. I understand some salesman is simply trying to put food on their table. But seriously.

Just brought home the MGM Pro. We paid MSRP

Burning oil outta both pipes for about 30 miles (was following the wife) didn't notice much of any for the last 10 miles though...

Anyone know what's up with that?

This is bleak. I can’t find a single dealer who will do msrp. I’m emailing every listing for a MGM, LR or MBM Crewmax on cars.com.

I've got a new 21 Pro coming in near the end of October at MSRP. I jumped on it, got good trade offer on my 2004. My truck runs great and still looks good bought it new in December of 2003.

The Pro is night and day. I am new here but pulling the trigger had me looking around this site and happy to be here.
