How are the BP-51's. I just did Bily 6112 HD's on my Lexus GX. I thought the 700 in-lb springs were gunna be a bit rough on an otherwise stock GX but they float.

I love them, wish they made them for the F-150. I had BP-51 on my Tacoma as well. Loved being able to play with the rebound/compression on the fly depending on what I was hauling.

I'm in Florida as well and was looking for a second vehicle to scoot around to the beach and around town. The insurance down here is really the biggest problem that I can't get around. I work from home and the Tundra is $160/mo to insure. A C5 or Miata would be another $120-150/mo for insurance. So just to have 2 cars sitting on the driveway costs $300/mo.

I wish we could get pay-per-mile insurance down here. I had that up North and my bill was like $70/mo.

I've got one of those but I'm not sure I can lock it up safely so I barely use it. Do you have any recommendations?

A stout cable and U lock should be an adequate deterrent... and otherwise make it undesirable if you are really worried. I don't lock anything up myself; 35 years even in cities and I've never had a bike stolen... but I only leave it a few minutes, and nice road bikes are not popular to steal for some reason. A pro thief will be able to grab anything pretty quick I think. Your homeowner's insurance might cover it?

Approaching 12k and at the 1 year anniversary on the Powerboost and very happy. Looking at a bit over 18
Mixed on the current tank but with the ability to drag it over 20 if I'm gentle enough on the highway. I Thought maybe I fell under the issue of the tailgate dropping on its own as this is a known problem and it happened to me 2-3 times. Since being more careful with the fob it hasn't happened, leading me to believe the button was getting hit in my pocket and that may be happening to others. I honestly hate that the fob has a tailgate release and have considered taking it apart and trying to pull out the rubber insert behind that button to disable it, as I find it a useless feature. I have never once encountered a scenario in over 20 years driving pickups where I wanted to be able to open the tailgate without touching the handle. Somehow my late December 2021 build date non Max tow truck has Dodged the more serious official recalls. Doesn't fall under the axle issue. Gotta get it checked for the wiper motor one next time it's in and had to have some sort of
Reflash done to the trailer brake controller which I will probably never use as I have only ever needed to pull a Uhaul once.

Radio went blank for a minute about twice several Months ago, a few weeks apart, but could immediately be turned back on. Hasn't happened again but keeping an eye on it and planning to mention at one of my next couple oil changes. Hoping/guessing just a glitch that may have gone away when I reset the system or updated it later.

Since it doesn't require chips to add leather Ford did put the option on XLT high trucks after I got mine which I find a bit irritating.

Still back and fourth as to if/when I want to get around putting it in. I have never been a big leather person and I feel like the main benefit would be so when I show it off to people who haven't seen it they wouldn't go "But wait, it doesn't have leather?"

She has done a couple 6-7 hour road trips and pulled low 20s purely highway each time. Oh also the cupholders at the rear of the center console for rear pax had the rubber band inside that keeps tension on the prongs that hold Smaller cups slip off and had to he fixed.

In terms of drive ability, both the driveline and suspension have smoothened very nicely over time. Messing around with the configurable gauges for the first time just awhile ago I found the boost gauge. I have also started running her in sport
Mode, which gives the powertrain a feel like it's a dog straining on a leash pretty much all the time.

I keep meaning to drag out my 240v generator cord that branches into 4 standard outlets and a few other
Cords and play around with the propower system a little bit just to get a sense of how to balance loads and what it looks like running the things I have in mind for it to run. Just haven't gotten around to it yet. Power has typically come back within a few minutes in outages as we are a block from a school. The longer ones of several hours usually only happen if there's physical damage to a line or transformer.

Two things of note: Needs 60k plug changes due to the demands of the electrical system made by
propower. And the manual calls pretty firmly for brake fluid changes every 3 years, I'm guessing because with regen braking the fluid may not circulate much and needs to be changed more to prevent corrosion. They say you can go 10k or a year between oil changes because of Ev mode but I stick to my standard 6 month/5k schedule anyway.

I make pickups at two local ford dealerships. All I can say is I see TONS of what appear to be blocks in crates that are all stamped “warranty repair”

Eh not really. Tell you what , this pilot is what the gen 3 tundra should have been. And updated version of the Gen 2 with the tech and design buy maintain the build quality.

The pilot isn’t high thrills but damn is it solid with no creaks or rattles. Loved my tundra but after a bit the creaks and rattles just started to annoy me. And I couldn’t get them alleviated

I just mean maintain the quality from gen 2 but just update it. Gen 2’s were solid. Gen 3 could see the cost cutting in material use.

I didn't see where Ford is offering leather on the XLT. They haven't done this in forever, it's always been 3rd party and one of the reason I passed on an f150 back in 15. 4wd and leather was my only absolute non-negotiable options and Ford would only offer this combo in a lariat. I didn't feel I needed, or wanted, all the tech that comes with it that you're forced to pay for. Always thought it was odd

Or they are better just better trucks.

Hard to argue the Tremor isnt a really fantastic package with the front torsen, 3.73’s and hi-lock tcase

In October I had a Rebel GT as a rental in Calgary and spent a week driving around Banff with it. Other than the obnoxious mopar exhaust, its a very nice truck.

It will..Raptors hold value better than any tundra. And the Gen 3 HO 3.5 is underrated. It has been dynod stock to be 382 whp and 517 wtq which is about 460 hp and close to 600 tq at the crank. You can research Goosetuned on this. Mine has been a fantastic truck and am sure you will love yours.
