I never believed they could make a vehicle like that for such a low price.

It was a bit surprising to me as well, but I had hope since the truck shares a ton of parts with the F150. They claimed to be making money off of it.

Still, you can barely get a supercrew 2wd XL 3.3L for that money.

well Rivian is recalling mostly everything its made due to a loose bolt that could cause steering loss of control.
    How many ? about 12,000.

So within a few days ford pulled enough chips outta their ass to save heated mirrors?

sounds like they realized the safety issue and/ or the customer backlash.

Does ford offer lower financing. Toyota is at 6 or 7 percent up here in Canada

2021 had everything. My 22 had halogen bulbs in the license plate light ( I swapped to LED), does not have the temps on knobs (kind of a bummer) and does not have the lighted cup holders (I didn't care about this one).

Wondering if a Powerboost is a better overall vehicle than a Tundra? Anyone has had one coming from a Tundra?

Are you looking to buy a Tundra or own one and also own a Ford?

Otherwise what made you get rid of it?

No I came from a Tacoma, I just needed a fullsize to carry babies and boats. I very much WANTED to want a Tundra. But alas, it is ugly, so I got a Tremor.

Same boat as you minus the boat and the fact I went with a 2020 Tundra. How do you like your Tremor so far? Did you get a 3.5?

I love it. As long as it stays reliable, I think it's the best 1/2 ton on the market. Yes on the the 3.5, that's the only option on the Tremor with the 21 and 22. You can get the 5.0 for 23.

Everything I have seen says the powerboost is a better, faster, more efficient, and more versatile(generator capability built in) truck. I think the iForce Max was pretty poorly executed overall in comparison.

Now if I was buying the non-hybrid version of each truck I think its a bit closer. I don't know which I would pick at this point in time. The Tremor option on the F150 is very appealing with the 3.73's gears and front torsen LSD but there are a lot of things I like about the Tundra as well(the the relatively gargantuan cooling system for example.)

I would echo this. It's ridiculous that my non-hybrid truck has a 2,000 watt Generator Mode but the Tundra Hybrid does not.

If the 22+ F150s hold up without hassle over the next 5+ years, I will strongly consider a Ford next time around as well. I'd love to feel like I have more than one option in the 1/2 ton market. I just don't have any time for the BS my Ford driving friends and family members–of which there are many–deal with almost regularly.
Agreed. Besides coming in well behind with the (lack of a) generator...I just can't help but think of all that torque going to one wheel and Toyota's fairly terrible electronic limited-slip

Nice…I would probably go with the 3.5 as well if I were to go to a Ford.

Did you get a brand new Tremor or slightly used?

I get a bit worried about the customer service I would receive with Ford for whatever reason from the stories I’ve heard.

Thanks. I've been happy with it. Swapped suspension and on 35s, added Diamondback bedcover.

Yeah early 22 builds just had some halogen bulbs, climate knobs (big suck), and removed ambient lightning (big suck).

    My 21 had it all!

I shopped new F150s before picking up the 21 Tundra. The XLT, Lariat, King Ranch technology and center screen was enticing. Then I start seeing videos about the system rebooting while driving, or going black. Then the issues Andre at TFL was having with his Hybrid throwing errors and going into reduced power mode, and like the new Tundra, I decided to wait for Ford to work out the bugs.

Best of luck on the Tremor

Look I'll be honest, I think Ford had a vehicle that fit my needs and wants better than Toyota did and the advantages were too much to overlook but yes, I'm nervous about the customer service experience.

Tundra extended the warranty on the AIPs.

My wife's Acura TLX shared a 9 speed with Chrysler that I think had issues and Acura on its own initiative extended her transmission warranty to 10 years and 100 or 150K.

It's been my experience that every make has its problems but Toyota and Honda have more of a reputation for taking the initiative to get out in front of things, whereas the domestics drag their feet on doing the right thing. Many years ago I owned a Dakota at the time when ball joints were snapping and wheels were falling off trucks and Chrysler had to be shamed by a Dateline expose into admitting they had a problem. I'd be a liar if I didn't admit this sort of thing weighed on me. I'm paying this truck down fast and paying close attention to how things are looking when my 7/75K warranty through Geico expires. I love it but I do not deceive myself about the fact that it's a complicated piece of technology and I need to take a careful look at its track record come decision time in 7 years when I figure out whether I want to roll the dice and go 4-5 more years with no warranty.

My screen went blank once in the last 7 months for a minute and it hasn't happened again so I'm assuming/hoping this was a glitch that fixed itself but I'm keeping an eye on it. Interior has been fine, powertrain fine. I was rooting for Toyota to hit it out of the park and earn my business with the redesign after my 09 was so good to me. But unfortunately they just did not give me what I was looking for this time around because supposedly these legendary focus groups told Sweers or somebody that customers preferred that Toyota save a few bucks by not meeting or exceeding some of the most popular features of the competition.

For a few dollars per month My Geico mechanical breakdown coverage gives me a decision time 7 years down the line where based on how things have gone I can either take my 7 years, usually meaning 2-3 with no payments, grab my chips off the table and cash out, or let it roll for 5 or so more.
