Do you mean they got your dealer to honor the 0.00 markup on your contract?

Yup. They said no markup or anything. I am having the wife screeprint the email into the shirt at delivery.

Texas Motor Vehicle said either take a fine or allow him to transfer dealers per the contract. All Ford changed the system and they can’t transfer the order so they are allowing me to purchase because the fine is higher than the markup.

truck guys never downsize. you can only go up in size, utility and capability, or stay the same
this is why so many Gen 2.0 2.5 owners are having problems with the 3rd Gen.

Seeing the price after destination of the Zr2 being almost exactly the same as the TRD Pro is going to make the Toyota a hard sell. It loses in almost much every area except mpg and perceived reliability (which has taken a hit).

Is the pro really superior in MPGs?
Doesn't GM have a reputation for their V8 half tons being surprisingly efficient?

As much as I think this pro is overhyped and overpriced. GM is still GM. But I'm also about to drop 80k on an EV F150 so maybe it's a better value this time.

Although I just built a pretty decked out AT4 for the similar price and I'd prob go against better judgement and get the AT4 lol .

The 6.2 should do really well on the highway since it can just lug along. However, they also "recommend" 93 so that kinda kills it a bunch.

I'm not considering the GM. I just haven't built the refresh yet. Honestly now that I got my EV F150 I'm set. We've been wanting to go EV and with the F150 just around the model Y we were shopping, I'd rather have the F150 for now. It has full self driving, self parking, 9.6kw generator and that frunk!

Although I am considering dumping the 5.0 now and picking up a used CRV hybrid until it's built. With $4 gas could probably pay for itself by the time it's built.

just a heads up, Im chatting with the GMC dudes, and the they are still going to send these out without the heated steering wheel, etc working and retrofit later.

so Im not really interested in that, Ford and toyota have all teh features working right from the start. not sure I want to chase around GM to get that installed later at some unknown date.

Our sales tax is 10.9%, so whatever the payment is, it's another 10.9% higher for us.

I used to think my family is firmly upper middle class. But now I'm beginning to think we're just plain poor. All these people who already own relatively new, expensive vehicles talking about dropping $80k on another one like no big deal.... Ugh... We can't justify over $50k.

well whatever it is now...it will be more soon for all vehicles. your fed is about to raise rates this month. the first of multiple hikes in 2022. Last sentence my opinion.

Ford already sent out the "pre-approval" certificate so I'm curious their rate. Will be hard to beat my 1.49% over 60 months. I think after trade it'll be around $1100 over 60 months. Plus I'll get the full $7500 benefit of the tax break. It ain't nothing to sneeze at but we only have 1 car (been 1 car for 18 months) both WFH, so we have the ability to get something above the average we used to buy. In 3 weeks I will start picking my kids up after school so that'll almost pay for it there. We pay $300 a week for them to watch them for 2 hours for 5 days lol

I'm with ya, bud. I'll never buy new again. Finding a good one used with some warranty left on it though can be a long tedious process.

I wish we were only paying $4 gal! In Ontario prices are $1.70. /L and up. (Over $6.00/ gal) Other places in Canada are more?

I saw $1.74 today in Toronto. Will probably be 10cents higher tomorrow, too.
