I think it is coming, but not an all out recession. Target just released a couple weeks ago they are dropping prices in a ton of everyday household goods. Wal-Mart has to also in order to move inventory.

It’s definitely coming, my buddy has a boat rental business on our lake, runs about 20 boats. I use it as kind of a weathervane. Normally he has been booked out for weeks before weekend like we have coming up, but he just discounted all of his remaining slots by 50%.

I had an XLT up to $75k - my truck stickered for $71,500.

...and my truck has ventilated seats, 4 auto, memory settings, power running boards, steering headlights, power folding mirrors, ambient lighting, rain sensing wipers - all stuff that XLT doesn't.

I will say, you can option and XLT to be nicer and more options than a midlevel Lariat. Weird structure

Correct me if I'm wrong, I believe at the time I bought there was an xlt low and an xlt high. Then since I got my '21 I believe they made it low, mid and high.

All just to remove some items you used to get standard in the Old high package and bump them another package up to make you pay more.

Then the base Lariat starts out missing some things on an optioned out XLT high. Once you add it all back naturally making you say if you're going optioned up Lariat base might as well pay for at least the mid level instead.

when I was shopping 2023, I remember ford did not have a heated wheel until you added a high chrome package, that’s what I was trying to work around , then I said f it, go up to a platinum black appearance package and go that way. That’s how I ended up shopping a platinum power boost .

The chrome/platinum thing was coincidence - it was all dependent on build dates due to a chip shortage. Every 2023 built between certain dates lost the heated steering wheel. Mine is a late enough build where it has it. Some early builds also had it.

The trucks missing it actually had the heating element in the wheel, but didn't have the right circuitry in the steering column control module to control it. Ford did a limited campaign to add it back into Lightnings and some Canadian trucks, but not the majority.

Granger Ford is now advertising $2k under MSRP for the 2025 F150 Raptors.

The overall car market is softening.

I’ve been shopping for a new ATV this week. Dealer mentioned both Honda and Yamaha are cutting MSRP on their toys. Example: Grizzly dropped $1000 from last year.

I think I have a speaker going out on the Powerboost. Not a big deal, just a lot of intermittent heavy static just on one rear. Most obvious on talk radio.

It's not dead and not bad all the time. I have 8 yrs of warranty coverage so not worked up about it right now. Trying to figure out if/when I want to start the "cannot duplicate" back and fourth with the dealer or put some sort of processor, front components, cheap rears, a sub and some real wattage in it and have a system again. Mixed feelings, I've never done a system upgrade that didn't involve amplification and a sub.

I feel like I don't care about an aftermarket system right now and should just put Kmart Pioneers in back there and get on with my life.

But if/when I do more I'll appreciate the difference more than I realized.

This happened on my 2020 with the B&O system. I thought it was weird, because the rear speakers in the B&O trucks (past and present) aren't driven hard at all. It was also mostly noticeable with voices, but was more distortion than static in my case. Weirdly, it only happened when the cabin was warm. Dealer replaced it under warranty.

The 8-speaker B&O on this truck is just good enough where I am unlikely to mess with it. I sometimes consider swapping the center for something less efficient to tone it down a bit. The sub is also sensitive to temperature - if it's warm, it's enough for me. If it's cool or cold, it doesn't do much of anything.

Hard to justify the price with less features. I prefer the look of my 14th gen Tremor, new one looks too much like a Ranger.

I dont mind the new look, but I agree the new running lights are a step down. Its human nature to like what you have versus what you don't. Otherwise we'd all go crazy....er.

I really mean the headlights, one of my favorite things about my truck is the headlights. New ones are significantly downgraded. Also 900 pounds less tow rating.

s/he is a good reviewer. (they say you can tell by the hands.)
she ......I mean he.....actually took the truck off road instead of staying on pavement. a rarity.
how many reviewers provide this kind of info.
I'd rather watch her ....I mean his..... reviews over TFL and the others.
Except for Truck king who I like best.

    now on the video itself.

why can't Ford come out with "driveshaft" (8^|) that isn't all rusted right from the factory.
