True. Back in 2015, I was looking for a new double cab Tacoma since my 2003 extra cab TRD Tacoma wouldn’t fit my son’s car seat in the back. I was shocked at how expensive they were even back then, almost as much as a Tundra. So I went with the Tundra. Of course, Tacomas and everything else are insanely expensive now.

Okay. Which of you is getting bent over trading in a 22 raptor for a used 23 Raptor R?

Here's one from 2019, San Diego, took my truck in for an oil change and saw 2 of these on the lot:
$62,000 MSRP, jacked up to $94,000, then another $50,000 to $144,000!!! What is wrong with people?

LOL, not sure if serious. I have seen people pay as much as $1800-$2000 a month on Porsches and I was like.

    Really? That is insane.

I think I went through 5 dealers before buying the truck I have now. Most weren't willing to budge much below sticker, even on trucks that had been on their lot for 6+ months.

Incidentally, the dealer I bought from only had two F-150 Lariats on the lot and neither had been there long. They were also the first one willing to sell at invoice. Apparently they understand that if you sell at a reasonable price, you actually move your inventory. They also gave me a solid trade number unlike others.

I expect they come out ahead of the dealers who would rather sit on stock for the better part of a year than offer a discount.

20 Year boat loans are already fairly common, as vehicle costs rise, I expect we will continue to see longer and longer length of terms.

I'm trying to be like you. Don't let your head get too big LOL!

Better to keep the 2018 and pay down debt than pay the penalty of inflated Truck prices now. I have a $2,500 Ford Factory credit burning in my email to go on top of any deal I make on F150, F250 and Lightning, $750 for everything else, Ford. Even with discounts Prices are too high. Although I was surprised that you can get a basic F250 with 6.8L and 7.3L V-8s for not much more than mid level F150s. I currently have nothing to tow, so it would be a waste to pick one up.

You're damn right about that. Becoming debt free is the best thing you can do if you care about your financial future.

I traded my 2022 Tundra for a 2024 F150 XLT, 3.5 EB, 302a, black appearance package, ,, got $44k trade, and $9500 discount on F150. Looked at the F250 and U get more for Ur money vs. F150 but our TT is only 5500 lbs wet and driving the F250 around town would not be fun like the F150. Pretty pleased overall and will most likely keep the F150 for at least 2-3 years to see how the crazy market and lack of good choices straightens out (I hope)

How else would every other butthole in Utah be rolling around with a $150k+ Malibu behind a diesel F350 Platinum.

Bronco raptor only. All others still string. Bronco has just been overpriced and now not only has ford officially adjust msrp but dealers amhave these sitting at sub $80k price tags

Raptor sales are doing better than the Tundra. I don’t think anyone prefers a RTD Pro to a Raptor.

that said , I’m surprised how well the tundra is doing , best ever , I wasn’t expecting that with all the bs going on.

Uh yeah, probably not all. I have owned 2 Raptors of each generation and turned down a gen 3 to buy my trd off road hybrid tundra. So evidentailly that is nota a true statement.

Not replying to post above this FYI

But I feel that the whole car market in general is getting a little softer, "discounts" off msrp and prices dropping. And as @Bannerman may have noticed, so is the boat market, I still see 2023 models sitting on lots brand new. And I am in a very boat friendly area geographically

Inventory is huge around here too, I think with the huge shortage of boats during Covid manufactures ramped up production, now a lot of them are sitting.

Yeah and they only have a month or so before the summer boating season ends. I've seen boats like Sea Hunt have gone wayyy downhill on QC from all the boats they're pumping out. Hopefully GW stayed true with yours
