It explains so much that you are the guy drag racing people, or attempting, at stop lights.

well it is only speeding if you get caught and like I told a cop one time. It doesn't matter how fast you get to sixty, could be 4-6 seconds as long as you get off of it and don't speed then it is not speeding.

Plus it is like 75 mph+ all around here anyway. There is posted speed limit laws but no laws regarding how to accelerate.

Yeah unless there's another vehicle lined up next to you, accelerating the same way as you've self described. Then it's drag racing, which is illegal.

True, guess you have to get caught then.

Get the wrong cop and they will get you for careless and reckless even without another vehicle.

LOL, not careless or reckless you are going in a straight line and as long as your tires don't squeal then you are good. Plus it would be nice to have a camera at the front of your truck to prove otherwise -- oh wait the Tundra do have cameras on the front of them.

which ones the 23 Raptor I look at it didn't, oh I meant windshield dash camera. The one with the red Action button.

I don't drive reckless and know the limits of the vehicles I have. The Tundra gets very floaty with 34 inch A/T3s and tends to sway some at speeds in the upper 90s or over 100. I would imagine the smaller truck tires would be better if you really wanted to take it much over that speed.

Raptors are great trucks, IMO and just like on this forum the Gen 1 SVT was the pure Raptor. Ford performance is diluting them a little bit but overall, they are great trucks. If you had 2 or 3 of them then maybe it would be time for something different. That is where I was after 10+ years of Raptor ownership. I didn't know all this would have happened to the Tundra or maybe I would have reconsidered it but at the time I fell in love with the Tundra tech especially on the limited trims and up. No one questions Ford mechanical reliability, but you have no locking fuel door or cap on an 80k truck is just ROFL. Not to mention the sunroof frame in your truck is cheaper than the plastic from China pieces found at Wal- Mart. It isn't the Toyota is a better truck it is that the stuff which goes into it are better components.

    1) Why? It's siphon proof and super convenient
    2) As discussed ad nauseam, Tundra is missing a ton of key features at that same price point.

Huh? Okay just going over the newer features that the Tundra has that Ford doesn't It maybe siphon proof, but it isn't tamper proof and somebody could walk up to it and dump and substance down it.

How about the TRD offroad and camera views?
Locking fuel door with cap on the Hybrid trims
    Front windshield camera
    digital rear view mirror
better software on the infotainment system
to me the JBL system is vastly better than the B&O junk -- why ford switched from SONY I will never know.

I think it almost defies physics that these trucks aka "bricks" can accelerate as fast as they do.
They have come along way. Yessir...And the Electric trucks....man o man.
But what gets me every time I see a post like this.. "that" brick can't stop or go around a corner well.
I haven't been to the track in a long time. I used to go in my younger years.
Would love to take my "car" there today for fun but its too risky.

that is because most Fords are limited and cut off at certain speeds.

You make some valid points, but the JBL system in the Tundra's is absolutely GARBAGE.

I'm not crazy about the B&O, but it's better in my '24 than my '21 or '23. That being said, the Tundra system in my Capstone would disappoint me in a $30,000 car, let alone a $75,000 truck. Big swing and a miss.

I’ve been shopping raptors. Finding 801as at invoice pricing. A few 37pp for like 3-4k off.

im looking for 801a. 37pp recaros are meh. Seems like the base package is great value.

Car and Driver disagrees with you. According to them, the Tundra is the slowest of the three.

Tundra Limited Hybrid is 14.3 seconds @ 94 MPH in the quarter mile,
Silverado RST 6.2 is 14.0 seconds @ 100 MPH in the quarter mile,
    F-150 Tremor 3.5 (non-hybrid) is 13.9 seconds @ 100 MPH

    https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a37984068/2021-ford-f-150-tremor-drive/

Want another source? Motortrend got the same exact times for the Ford and Chevrolet. They don't have an apples to apples for the Tundra, but their 1/4 mile on a non-hybrid is not any faster than Car and Driver's test of a similar Tundra (which both came in slower than the hybrid).

I think I'm going to take the word of two automotive publications that came up with consistent results over a someone who has a habit of making claims without backing them up.

Daily Motor agrees that the Ford top system is better than the Tundra top system. He does some pretty good tests and he says the Tundra JBL is roughly equal to the Ford 8-speaker B&O, but that the Ford B&O Unleashed is the best system he's tested in a pickup.

    https://youtube.com/watch?v=f6s1vAR_lU8

My 8-speaker B&O is okay. Nothing impressive, but good enough where I don't feel the need to spend time or money to improve it.

I think my B&O Unleashed is pretty decent. Especially considering it was only like a $600-800 ungraded.

I would already own one, but my parking garage at work is too short. There's no way an 80" cab height won't hit.

There's always going to be a buyer for a used Raptor, so their demand should always be pretty strong.

Sounds like the Tundra Hybrid is closer to the Ford 5.0 V8 then, Car+Driver got 14.4 sec for a Platinum 5.0 and MotorWeek got 14.2 sec for a slightly lighter XLT 5.0 F-150, both 4x4. I have seen an oddball 14.6 sec from MotorTrend on a 5.0 but that’s a long bed 157” WB Max Tow King Ranch with the beefier frame and springs so that will slow her down quite a bit. The iForce Max is definitely not taking on a PowerBoost if it’s losing to Fords V8 by the 1/4 mile marker. The GM 6.2 liter is also killer, hitting 0-60 in 5.4 seconds. I don’t think people realize how much weight matters in an acceleration equation. A reg cab 2.7 that weighs as much as a feather would probably wipe all the above too…

The real winner is the consumer because all these things are lightning fast.
