What I would do if they aren't too high would buy another take off set and have them rebuilt then you always have a set ready to go when needed. If new is too high then you can always buy some used ones if they aren't too beat up, you are paying to have them rebuilt so they will be good as new.

Actually I’m waiting for a new set. But in foresight, I may just purchase some struts/ spring set as backups.

7,000 Miles In, My Brand New 2024 Toyota Tundra Turns Into a Warranty Battleground (Seeking Advice!) | Torque News

I guess I haven't followed this as close as I thought. I had not realized there was accounts of 2024s with blown motors out there. I thought these were supposed to be just 22-23 models. If true it would support my theory Tundra hasn't really pinned down what's causing this and threw an explanation out to calm people down, save sales and buy themselves some time while they look for the as yet unidentified design defect.

Yeah 2024s (and probably hybrids) will be included eventually, this was strategic. If they had included 2024s, to include a stop sale, dealers would be loosing their shit. Instead they will just sell them as quickly as possible at a discount as we are seeing.

Debris in the motor always sounded like some bulls$%t to me. Like there are still engineers in a room somewhere furiously running tests and measurements still trying to figure out what's really going on with this motor. Better to announce a cause then amend that after further testing then to go through a model year still having to tell people you have no clue but please buy the truck anyway.

Why people get online to laugh and hope the other persons brand of truck fails is beyond me. This thread was started to discuss differences, pros/cons of each truck. Then it became fun to jump on @Bannerman for a variety of things., some were begging for fishing trips but I haven't seen proof he can catch fish...am I rite?

Now were just hurling insults and saying hope your truck blows up? ahh the internet...

Why must you guys still keep up beating the dead horse, everyone knows about these issues their is nothing new. Bored with the Raptor/ Tremor forums and the lack of entertainment there. My truck has been great, it is not on Toyota's site as a recall as of this moment. Could it be added later- sure but from my knowledge this was a engine manufacturer issue affecting the non-hybrid NA motor only.

The Tundra tech is light years beyond Ford, the features and parts are much better than UAW sourced Ford parts. That doesn't change no matter how many people have blown up Tundra's or what that number is. They use the new Tundra in NASCAR it is the official truck of NASCAR. I am sure you can find the same videos on Ford quality. I have no spun bearing, I have no wind noise, I have no blown motor. My truck is straight up at 18 thousand miles, and I have had no issues other than the cracked seat. Is it still a better-built Truck than Ford, Hell yes will it be corrected and if it is not then I have a 150-thousand-mile warranty anyway.

If you are that concerned about it then buy the older Tundra with the dinosaur v8 in it. I am sure it will make you feel better about your life choices.

Gee, it is because and this has always been the case that Raptor owners are really insecure about driving a truck around that depreciates 10-15 grand a year. They have small pickles anyway so why not take an envious dump on a Truck which is every way is vastly superior technology wise and will be till Ford figures out how to do their tech and build an audio system worth a shit in their trucks.

I hope you know your non-hybrid motor is indeed forced induction, therefore not NA.

now that just sounds bitter @TRDoffroadPRO . different trucks have different strengths, hence the reason for the thread. offroad trucks squat when towing, good towing HD trucks dont articulate offroad and are heavy....

Nice striper, I fished up there quite a bit in HighSchool. Buddy of mine's parents have a place up there and had a 21' CC. Gets pretty rough up there sometimes!

NA refers to the Naturally Aspirated motors no power adders i.e. Turbos or Electrical Hybrid stuff. The 3.4 liter NA motor is the recalled motor currently, could it expand? Sure, but as of now it is not on the Hybrids

Yeah were in need of a bigger ride for the choppy water and to haul more humans. Calm seas turn to 3-4 quick with wind and tide changes.

I have the iForce Max Hybrid, homie. So I do not have the NA motor which I guess I should have used a comma or maybe the sentence wasn't correct.

Who cares it is a message forum.

We are so far off the rails at this point we may as well make it a fishing thread, the lake I live on has big cats so I catch these and bigger off the dock all the time.

Oh yeah you are right, I am wrong the standard motor is indeed forced induction too with the SR receiving the lower detuned version.

that is my bad, the NA motor would be the v8 which all Tundra's are from the previous generations- got confused.
